I ordered my normal size 8 and it did fit good, however the leather on this boot is hard and it hit the front of my ankle with each step. Sadly, I had to return them for this reason.

they were very big the heel was slipping right of the bat.

They were a little too stiff for my liking. I did not give them enough chance to break them in, I returned them right away. I had to wear thinner socks so the toe bed was not squishing, but once I did that they were comfortable. They just felt a little clunky and stiff for me.

My first Sorel Wedges~ I usually buy a 11 in most Sorel Boots, that's a half size up from my regular 10 1/2. With the wedges, I went with an 11 & they are a bit long & slip up in the back. This is also a narrow boot, but maybe they will stretch after a few wears. Some sort of heel insert might prevent the back from slipping up. Love the style & look so have to think about this one.

I have these in the pull on version in black and have loved them for a year... I wanted a brown pair but that style didn’t have the right shade of brown, so I chose to try these thinking they’d likely be a very similar fit. They are similar, but different. First, the color is lovely, but the darkened area on the toe and the heel that’s in the picture isn’t on the actual shoe which was disappointing. The front of the boot is higher on the ankle area and bangs into the front of the leg a bit when walking which is a bit annoying. The sizing is different, too. I had to size up to a 9.5 in the pull on version and so I did the same with these, but they are slightly too big (just slightly) and lastly, the leather is very soft and quite different from the other pair (not as structured)... I’ve worn them for two short periods of time and the leather is already looking worn and baggy. I’m debating a return, but the color is perfect so I’m stuck trying to decide what to do.maybe if zappps will let me, I’ll return and try a half size down and hope the leather doesn’t stretch as readily.

This boot runs MUCH larger than the other Sorels I own - wider and longer, with too much splay at the ankle. The teal suede isn't as rich or as brilliant as I had hoped. Back they go.

This is a strange boot! I've always purchased lace-up styles because I have a high instep, but these were so cute in the Dark Seas colorblocking that I tried them. I always take a 7 in Sorel and most other brands. The 7 did fit in the footbed length, but the leather upper was enormous all around! I was able to slide my foot in and out of the boot without unzipping, and there was probably room inside for three layers of socks. Disappointed. Sent them back. Thank you, Zappos, for the opportunity to try without pain.

I am a sorel owner...but this one was not for me. I sent back. Too heavy from color standpoint. Too black...it didn’t look right and balanced with leggings... i like the regular Joan’s better.

I will be returning these. I love them and they are comfortable, but they are not the color shown online. I ordered the ash brown and they are a tan/khaki color, not the light chocolate brown the picture shows. Very disappointed

I have several pairs of Sorel boots and they all fit like a dream. Unfortunately I found these to run on the smaller side. The heel was extremely narrow making the fit awkward. Too bad. They are cute.

Read somewhere that this Sorel boot is a favorite this season. Sorry, not a fan. They are really a wedge (how safe is that in the snow?) and a high wedge at that. I am a size 5, ordered a 5.5 (room for socks) and they were still very tight. Definitely order up a full size if you plan to wear socks. They appear very stylish but were just uncomfortable to me. I love these boots but the brown is not brown or tan. Its more of a gray brown and I dint think they will look right with things that I would typically wear with brown booties. Sad, because they are cute and comfy!

They are a half size too small, but I already wore them once, so I will have to just hope they stretch some.

I am returning these shoes because the color shown on zappos is not the color I received. Look at the Sorel website for the true color. They have more green to the color making them look teal instead of true blue like the picture.

Was hoping that the other reviews about the large heel wouldn’t apply to me, but alas they do. I ordered 2 pair of these and so wanted them to work, but even with my thickest socks, my heel was slipping up when I walked. The toe was fine so I knew that ordering down a half size wasn’t going to fix the issue.

I have 3 pairs of Sorel boots and one pair of sorel sandals. I typically love them but this pair fit much smaller than the other pairs I have, which are all in the Joan of Arctic family. I just received them yesterday and I’m going to try them to see if they are worth keeping but I’m sadden by the fact that they don’t fit like the others. I wear an 8 but the 8.5 fit better in the Joan of Arctic style so I ordered 8.5 in this style. These are about a half of a size smaller and I know a 9 will be absolutely to big because they are a little loose in the heel. This is a beautiful boot so I will be very disappointed if they don’t work out. I’m grateful for Zappos return policy because it’s easy breezy.
