Overall, this is a well made product- I am a big Spanx fan. These just didn't work out for me. The shorts are very well structured and good quality, however - although they fit properly on my stomach area, the legs were too tight and ended up giving me a weird lump on my thighs where they ended. If I had sized up, it would not offer the tummy support. The booty booster was quite pronounced, which would be good for some people but I wear form fitting clothing which is the look I was going for with a 'boosted rear' however the padding was visible through my clothing. I wasn't wearing shear or something like that, but the form fitting clothing was outlining where the padding started and ended like a circle. If I were wearing loose clothing it wouldn't be noticeable, but thats just not the style of clothing that suits me. Between the padding being obvious it wouldn't work for my dresses, with the legs cutting into my thigh fat it wouldn't work with my jeans as the lumps would show through the denim. If have more slender thighs than me, and wear more drapey fabrics I can see this working out for you. (I am 5'8", size 6, 155lbs and ordered M which is my usual Spanx size)
