They are warm if used with liners. The insulation packs out after repeated use so they loosen up. The leather is very thin and is from split hides and treated with chemicals to give it some strength. The leather has no reinforcement for high wear areas so they develop holes in the palms and fingertips from pole contacts when skiing or palm rubs when snowboarding. Would I buy them again? No, they don't last and for this price you can get a much more robust and articulated glove from a specialty manufacturer that is designed for skiing or snowboarding.

I really wanted to love these mitts, but alas they disappointed. There is so little (as in seemingly no) insulation on the palm that my hands freeze once temps drop below -5C. Have taken to wearing them with liners, which helps. But not the mitts I'd hoped for to keep my fingers toasty when the temps dive.

These aren't very warm. They are waterproof, but not warm even in only -5. I was really surprised.

I am a frequent Arcteryx customer, and I am highly disappointed with my experience with these gloves. After one use I noticed a tear on the right glove. This was my first time using these gloves and only been through very light use. I contacted customer support and they took ages to respond, and still did nothing to cover the defect. For this price, the gloves are not durable and worth the money at all. Better off looking for an alternative elsewhere.

I bought two pairs of these mittens. The first pair arrived and the right mitten was everything I hoped it would be - thick, plush, incredible fit. The left mitten had a seam on the inside that was done in error and as a result made the thumb opening hard to reach with your thumb. It also made for a thick line of fill along the top of the mitten. I thought that it was a one off so I returned them, and ordered a new pair. My new pair came yesterday and they were were a full inch different in width and length. I couldn't believe it! The mittens were also thinner than that pervious version, and it left me thinking that there was no way they would keep my hands warm while skiing or playing outside with the kids. I was super excited about the prospects of these mittens, but sadly they are a no-go.
