I feel the size is a tad bigger than what I wear (I wear a 12) but not oversized. There is some extra room. If I had to guess based on this, I'd say a size down would be more snug but also too tight. The shoes are heavy, the cell structure on the bottom uses very hard plastic. I was actually surprised at the weight. They kind of remind me of combat footwear a little bit. The traction and grip are really good, great shock absorption and I really like the unique reptile, snake looking scales architecture. Right off of the bat they feel and look more durable than any shoe athletic shoe I've owned.

The toe box is extremely small and becomes narrow to a point. I had room up front but all my toes were gathered to the pointed toe box.
