I love the look and fit of this coat! Great length and not too long. I wanted to make a review to help others with the sizing. I typically wear a Medium or size 6 pants, 5'9" and 150lbs. According to reviews I decided to size up to a large. It was so big! By then the medium was sold out so I tried a small, which is perfect! The buttons leave a little puckering but that happened when I buttoned the large as well. I think thats just a design fail honestly. The small fits great for wearing a lightweight shirt or sweater underneath it and sitting down comfortably.

I bought this coat for my mom for Christmas. I love the maroon-ish color which makes it stylish. It's very warm and surprisingly lightweight. I can't wait for my mom to try this on for Christmas. I tried it on myself just to see how it looked and am now very tempted to buy me the same coat!

The bottom snap pulls when fastened but I didn't want to buy a size up otherwise the coat would be too big.

It's a great jacket. It projects against the wind. I wish the hood was adjustable. It's TOO big, and it always falls over and covers my eyes. The jacket itself is also super bulky and heavy after a while, but it looks super cute. The faux fur looks cute, it doesn't look cheap. Overall it's a good jacket, but I'd only wear it if I was going to class. It's definitely not something you'd take sightseeing or to Disneyland.

I wanted this coat for awhile, and finally ordered it once it was on sale. It's super cute and fits perfectly. I decided to return it because of all the snaps that were hard to do and caused some puckering. I also didn't care for the black and gray fur color. Otherwise the coat was a wonderful gray color, well made, and true to size.

This is a beautiful coat. I originally ordered it in the medium but needed to size up so that I could comfortably wear layers under it if I needed to. The hood is also quite large, when I pull it up it tends to drop over my face to the point where I cannot see well.

I tried on every mid-length parka in the store...and this is the one I ended up buying. Love the grey with the black fur hood! Very stylish and warm. Only small issue is that the hood with the fur attached is HUGE. Like, covers my eyes huge! I'm willing to overlook this as the jacket is just adorable and I don't wear my hood up all that much.

I love the look of this jacket, especially the red color, and it is lightweight and very comfortable. However once you zipper the front, you have to snap each and every snap unless you want the front part to hang open. It looks funny if you don't do the snaps, but I want to just zip and go.

Bought as a birthday gift for my daughter. She is a college freshman and will need to stay warm walking around campus during Wisconsin winter. She loved it. Beautiful coat. Fits great and warm. Well made so should get years of use out of it

I bought this coat to replace my "Hey Momma" coat from last year. I accidentally washed the faux furn trim AND dried it. Northface could not replace it (although I don't understand why as the trim on this model is almost EXACTLY the same) so they gave me a gift certificate for a new coat...awesome, but I much prefer the other coat as it had an interesting texture/pattern. This coat is pretty plain. I feel like for the prices of their merchandise...they could have worked harder to replace the faux fur. If you are looking for a warm coat with a little something extra - this coat is it. The hood makes you look like a snow bunny

I'm pretty short. 5'3. The coat's length is ok for me, but the hood went completely over my face to my neck. Way too big. The fur on the hood also restricts my movement especially when driving.

I really like this coat.....however, where the buttons meet up there isn't enough fabric, so it looks like the coat is being stretched when it's not. I'm surprised other customers haven't complained about this. I'm nervous that within a couple of months the fabric will tear. I'm 5' 3" and weigh 110 lbs. I bought size small.

I love this jacket, it is warm, comfortable and stylish, but after the first wash the hood fir melted after only 5 minutes in the dryer. There is no instructions on the tags for how to wash the jacket so I did what I normally would do. I have had fir jackets from the northface and have not had this happen. The warranty department is going to take care of the problem. I would still purchase this jacket but REMOVE THE FIR and handwash and air dry ONLY.

Got this coat to walk the dog in the cold blustery NE winters. Although super cute and very warm, it definitely runs on the larger side. Got a small and there's definitely a lot of room for layers (I'm 5'5", 122 lbs) and think an XS might be too small for a fleece underneath. The arms are on the longer side and the hood is so big it drops down over my eyes covering my nose. Not sure if I will be keeping as the hood was a major selling point. I really wanted to love this coat! Just not right for me :(

I wrote a 2 stars review earlier today complaining about the fur trim around the hood when trying to freshen it up by a slight cleaning. I mistakenly wrote that North Face 'would' assist me with a replacement whether I purchased a new trim or they provided one to me under warranty. However I left out the word NOT. Sentence should have read 'will not' assist me. The only reason I bought the gray Dealio style jacket was for the fake fur color. Gray but with some purple highlights. North Face is no longer the reliable company for customers it used to be. It's ridiculous that they do not sell replacement fur trims.

The jacket itself if very nice and usable for weather just below freezing but not below 25 degrees. The bottom of jacket puckers out a bit after a while. The ONLY reason I bought the jacket is because I loved the look of the fake fur trim around the hood. However, the beautiful trim on hood is easily ruined by self cleaning and it cannot go to dry cleaners. Furthermore North Face will not allow me to purchase another fur trim. They should sell replacement fur trims. Their warranty program only tries to repair damage but it is beyond repair. Their warranty program will not replace it with a new fur trim. Very disappointed in North Face willingness to sell me or provide me with a similarnmreplacement.

Love the style and everything about it except how it fit. The size was off. It was an XL and fit fine in the body, except when the snaps were not snapped the side panels that have the snaps on it poofed out and looked ridiculous. When snapped it was fine, but I didn't always want to have to snap the entire thing every time I wore it. The hood was also WAY too big. It is really deep on top so when worn it came down to my chin. I would not be able to wear the hood at all.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
The only reason I bought the Dealio gray jacket is because I loved the gray fake fur which has highlights of purple in it. However NF states the fur cannot be dry cleaned. Therefore I tried to gently clean it myself without soap, just sprayed water on it, brushed it through and placed in dryer at lowest setting for less than 5 minutes. Totally ruined. Fur is all balled up in clumps, without any of previous luster, and it could not be brushed smooth even using my dog’s metal brush. Another person’s review on this site had similar experience with their fur trim and posted a photo which looks just like mine. I contacted NF customer service via email and asked for a replacement fur trim either through warranty Dept or by purchase. Their reply stated that no replacements are available either through warranty Dept or by purchase. The response further stated that warranty Dept would only try to brush it smooth to look like original which I tried and cannot be done. The customer service rep sent me a link to warranty Dept. However, because I purchased the jacket through Zappos, I cannot get through to NF’s warranty Dept online because the link asks for my email address which it would not accept stating they didn’t have any NF purchases using my email. Further, the link does not ask for ANY other info such as the 3rd party (Zappos) I bought it through, or a purchase order number which have recognized it was through Zappos. Therefore there is no way to get through to warranty Dept without writing them a letter to an address provided and send them the damaged product which, at this point, I will not bother to do. North Face is useless if you have a problem with one of it’s products. Buy from another manufacturer.
