I really don't know what to say except these shoes have literally given me the ability to walk again. I am a fairly recent amputee that had fairly weak ankles and needed extreme support with the foot I had left. I tried almost every woman's "ankle support" shoe, high rise and medium rise and none were made for actual support other than exercise with people that could exercise. I finally looked into men's athletic shoes and although there were 'skate' shoes with high tops and some support I chose these men's basketball shoes. Although they seem a bit pricey, it was the best purchase I made in a long line of athletic shoes. These are all leather, made to Puma's high standards and are extermely good looking for women (or men). I have been walking now with no worries of a twisted ankle. Well worth the money!

First of all, you should know that I'm a woman. I've been buying men's sneakers for six years because they're so well made and much more durable. PUMA will now be my go-to brand for hi-tops. These sneakers have proven the best for me in many respects. I fractured both ankles and can't wear anything but hi-top sneakers and boots. I've tried other brands and found PUMAs to have the highest top for maximum support. They were comfortable right out of the box. They also fit my orthotics. I did have to increase a half-size but ONLY to fit my orthotics. They are extremely well crafted and I love the blue trim. Thank you for making a shoe I can finally order with confidence.
