Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Holy cow, these base layer leggings are pure comfort! The first time I put my leggings on they did feel slightly scratchy. I’m very sensitive to itchy wool, so I was worried that these wouldn’t work for me. After about 5 minutes of wear they seemed to soften up and I didn’t notice any itchiness at all. I am now living in these bottoms! I wear them underneath jeans and trousers and they are so cozy. Highly recommend!

Bought as a gift for my Granddaughter. She asked for them specifically, so that means she knows your products and will love them!

I am 5'10 and these are long enough for me! They fit great, super warm, and were exactly what I was looking for. Worth the price. I ordered medium and will be ordering more!

I love the wool it is very warm. i wore it in 21 degree weather and stayed nice and warm. But i can't wear it because I am allergic to it and broke out in an ugly rash. It worked so well i tried it a second time and got the same results. It is a shame because nothing else so far has worked as well.

This is my "Go-to" for cold weather activities. Skiing, hiking or backpacking. Merino wool is THE BEST!. It has a broad temperature range for comfort. Feels wonderful next to skin. Being able to use it on multiple days before laundering definitely helps the intrepid adventurer. Smartwool does a fantastic job with the fit and graphics!

Ordered in 2 sizes. Kept 1, returned 1. The size small fits well, and is comfortable.

I ordered one pair to try. They are soft, comfortable, and warm. I wore them several days and then laundered them to make sure they wouldn't shrink or feel less comfortable after that. I'm pleased to say, they still feel great. I'm ordering a second pair! Also, thanks for offering them in purple.

Absolutely LOVE the marmalade color. These leggings are my go-to ski base layer and have been for some years. I tried a medium this time (I'm 5'2" and 140 ish lbs) and they feel super comfy, the small also works for me. #sweepstakes

I already have one pair and bought these in the lavender. I can wear these alone in the summer or as a base in the winter! I plan on buying another pair soon! Just awesome bottoms! Thanks SmartWool!

I feel this item runs small. I ordered a small and it was extremely tight. I am 5ft 1 and weight 120 lbs. with small frame. Otherwise, it is of good quality.

Wow, I didn't know how much better a base layer could be. I received this 7 days ago. I have used it 5 of the past 7 days, 4 days skiing and 1 night camping. Previously I had days when I needed to double up base layers (under my mid layer) to stay warm. Didn't have to do that and I stayed cozy, one day was 12 degrees and one time was night skiing. It has a flattering fit and is soft. It was great for camping too, I stayed cozy in my sleeping bag with a mid-layer and wool socks. Such a difference! I'm glad I ordered. #sweepstakes

I use these as leggings on cool days. I live in Fl and get cold easily. These keep me warm. No spandex is awesome. All wool. Not scratchy.

I wear the tights to play pickleball or hike. They are kind of long. I am 5'2" and weigh 134lbs so I need the medium size.

I replaced my 11 year old Smartwool base layer pants and shirt. My old version had been worn so much that it sprouted holes. I love the pattern on the new version, but it's much thicker than the older versions and therefore the fit (which I did check prior to ordering with the Size Guide online) is a little tighter than my usual. And thicker than what I'm used to for layering. I'll have to adjust the rest of my layers. Great quality, though, and still nice and warm.

These fit differently than my last pair. It's more of a mid rise- that is less comfortable for me. I think going up a size would create fit problems elsewhere. Will probably return.

I ordered an XL. I usually wear 12-14, 5'5 160 lbs curvy they fit midrise which I like. Quality material, very soft/light and fits great. I will use for Europe travel in November and see how they keep me warm in 40-50 degree weather.

The quality is great, so soft and warm, but I got the xs and it was still slipping down my waist so I had to had a drawstring. I wish I would have just got the kids XL and saved myself some money. For reference, 5' 3" 110 pounds

Very comfortable! Runs quite a bit bigger than expected. I'm 5'4" 120lb and a small fits more like joggers than a legging.

I own a classic thermal top, which I adore and wore almost every day last winter. These bottoms are unfortunately slightly different fabric. Fit seemed true to size when purchased but stretched out significantly after several wears (prior to washing). Got too big and baggy and not comfortable to wear as a base layer. Tried sizing down, but the fit is too tight. Smartwool customer service was great - I switched over to Intraknit which is a much better fit.

I have the same bottom layer from previous year that fits perfect as it should (1x/XL). I bought more this year in the same size and they are GIANT! What is even stranger is I bought the same size in a different t design pattern that fits perfect and both from smart wool directly. So what is wrong with these is that the leg openings stretch two sizes to three sizes larger and over the course of the day of wearing these they stretch out and start to sag and it looks like I am wearing bags around my knees and calf's. I use these for base layers when snowboarding and they are decent for warmer spring riding but not sufficient for an un insulated pants during winter colder riding. By the time I am done on the mountain, maybe 1-2 hours, these are stretched out and falling off my waist. I have been wearing smart wool base layers since 2011 and these have changed but not for the better.

The fabric is great. The fit *would be* great, but the pant pattern was somehow cut wrong and are in turn defective. I have reached out to customer service, and they are sending me a new pair right away. I want a replacement of the same pants because I think they will be great! I am 5'7", and love the length.
