I am in love with these bottoms. I bought them for warmth during my contest cycling commute but now I wear them every day around the house, for pajamas, and as a base layer. The material is incredibly soft and comfortable and they keep me warm (but not too warm!). They fit a little loose around the thighs but it's fine with me. I have worn them a lot and they really seem to be holding up to the washing and wearing very well. Definitely plan to get another pair.

These are my cold weather go to, to stay warm. I like the fit, almost perfect. Seeing as I am only 4'10" I must shorten the legs. I found if I take the legs up at the knees then the ankle line stays intact and the lower legs are smooth. These do not pill and are VERY warm. I also feel they are worth the money. I've bought other brands, but end up rebuilding the whole product. So to get a pair of tights that fit excellently I am happy,

So far my girlfriend has no complaints, if anything, this baselayer works too well! And that's always a good thing when a product works too well. She's commented on how soft and warm these are, all while staying light weight. Looking forward to purchasing these in the 150 model.

My second pairlove these items. Nice deep blue color too. Our house is chilly, so I wear these under my clothes at home most of the winter.

Smartwool did an excellent job with this heavy base; layer is the true to size and a perfect fit! I love the color. I wear is around the house for lounging and as a base layer working shoveling snow, and exercising. The pants stay put! Yay! I would strongly recommend this pants and buy it again!

I use the merino base layer as tights/leggings, occasionally with pants over them. This weave of merino wool is wonderful, and I have allergic sensitivity to rough wools even to the point of getting hives from prolonged wear. These tights are soft, smooth, stretchy, and warm. I can wear them all day. They're a good fit too. I'm 5'9", 140 lbs, 35 inch waist and tummy, 38 inch hips, muscular calves. The large fits fine. I tried on my daughter's medium and that looks quite sleek and fits too, but starts to feel compressed in the waist and calves after awhile. The large is slightly looser, not much, but it's comfortable and attractive. I wear short merino wool skirts and boots with it, and that's a winter staple until temperatures get into the mid twenties and windy, and then we go for pants.

It's such a sleek fit that I'm wearing them with a skirt for dress up! I usually buy mens bottoms as I'm not very curvy between waist and hip and mens bottoms tend to have practical pockets. Love the color choices.

Okay, I'm basically always cold. I wore these on a shirt 'let's get the dog in the snow' hike yesterday and it was 24 degrees out. Over the base layer I had my lightly insulated snow pants (which I was cold in last year) and I stayed warm the whole time. And did not get too hot! Wool's warm when wet, temperature regulating amazingness has blown my mind again. I've worn these a handful of times now and they haven't stretched very much (and I know when washed will return). I am 5'3 and 110 and got the XS. I almost wish they were about an inch longer, but that's what socks are for I suppose.

Fits like a dream, and looks wonderful with a big sweater or tunic. The color is my favorite blue, with enough green in it so the leggings go with lots of color. And, of course they keep me warm but not sweatydang I love smartwool. Plus NO ecologically damaging spandex!

My first base layer so I don't have a lot to compare to, but I really like the fit (though I wish it was more high waisted) and it's kept me cozy so far. Sweepstakes review.

This is a gift for my sons girlfriend so can not comment on fit however it is beautiful and very very soft. I have purchased many "Smartwool" products over the years and have never been disappointed. Quality is always spot on and worth every penny
