Wonderful for winter hiking!

Needs a little more stretch for movement, but kept the warmth in!

These are so soft an comfortable! They have so many options it was hard to choose. Everything is fairly pricey, but good quality and comfort. Haven't used them for skiing yet, but they seem warm.

These are best tights for winter walking. They keep me toasty below 25 degrees; move with me in every direction and don't pill. Very grumpy when they are in the wash.

Wow. Exactly what I was looking for. Slim, legging style waist band, minimal branding, comfortable fit, and very warm. I'm 5'8", 125 lbs and the small is perfect. I bought these specifically for Nordic skiing. I wear them layered with athletic leggings on top, keeping me toasty in 25F weather but not overheating once in motion. The quality is wonderful. Super happy.

These are the BEST base layer pants I've ever tried. I wear them several times before washing them and I love them so much, I want another pair ASAP.

I work outside year 'round on a farm in a place where it's quite windy and winter temperatures are frequently sub-zero. While I admit the price point made my heart skip a beat I can now say these are worth EVERY penny you spend on them. Super soft, great fitting under my jeans without pulling or chafing, excellent shape retention, wear like iron, and the warmth and/or breathability is unparalleled. I get in the house from working outside and I don't want to take them off. They're just that nice. Plus they've got some cute designs and colors. I'll be slowly trading out every other brand I own and getting more of these. Smartwool has definitely won a customer for life!

These are all I wear in the winter. Super warm bottoms. Wash well in cold/delicate and hang dry. I have 3 colors as my winter uniform with boots and sweaters.

I wear these as a base layer for winter sports, but also just as leggings under mini skirts when it's cold out - they keep me way warmer than any other leggings! Fit it great - I usually wear a small and got a small in these. They are slightly higher than mid-rise, so they hold everything in decently. I have them in 2 colors but want to get a few more! #sweepstakes

Very warm, soft and comfortable. The 2 I kept fit great and allow complete freedom of movement, although they tend to slide down a bit when running in them. (My hips are relatively narrow compared to my waist, so I'll try a smaller size for running.) Those I returned had a shorter rear rise that was not as comfortable. All were size large. The legs are far longer than I need (I'm 5'2", inseam about 28"), but my folded up cuffs stay in place and look ok, so shortening isn't essential. The extra fabric at the ankles helps keep them warm! Unlike my synthetic running pants, these don't get smelly, which greatly simplifies laundry!

These are great leggings, very well cut to flatter the figure and warm but not hot or itchy at all. I washed them in cold water and hung to dry. They were perfect and did not take long to be ready to wear again. My only dislike is that the elastic around the upper hipbones is a bit too tight for me otherwise they would be 5 stars all around. I think I will try the 150 base leggings next for days in the 40's and 50's. I'm in Kansas so everyday can be different-it's whatever sweeps across the plains.

These are soft and thick, and very supple. They are very warm, and have kept me comfortable during long days in winter outdoor research. I am a female-born person, and prefer the cut of men's baselayers. These are not too baggy due to stretchy nature, and I'm sure Smartwool could easily market this cut to all gender identities.
