I wanted to keep this jacket in the worst way. Love the color, quilting, quality. The fit was perfect EXCEPT for some unknown reason Marmot felt the need to “hourglass” the waist. So even though everything about the fit was terrific — chest, sleeve length, shoulders, hips, etc., they “tucked” the waist section and it was so exceptionally snug one thin layer was possible. And the snugged up waist section made the whole rest of the jacket fit weird when a body part moved. Pretty disappointed. It went back.

The lines of this puffy coat are more flattering than others. It looks good and is comfy.

The Highlander jacket is a major player in my jacket wardrobe. The first thing is the COLOR. I love it so much and get many compliments on it. Second, the fit is both flattering and extremely comfortable. Marmot designs their clothing with female proportions in mind, which I have always appreciated. I am curvy and find this brand fits the best out of all of the outdoor brands. For reference, I am 5'6" 185 lbs and I ordered the XL. It fits comfortably loose and I could have fit in the L if I wanted a more slim look.

Lightweight yet very warm. Love the lines and cut of this jacket because it's more slimming than most down jackets.

Fit is true to size. Lightweight but very warm. Does not make me look like the Michelin man like other down jackets!

I took this jacket with me when I walked the Camino Frances. It packed really small, was exceptionally warm and I fitted right in style wise (you know what the French are like!) when I eventually walked the streets of Paris upon completion of Camino. Has the ability to be water resistant, then dries very quickly all the while keeping you very warm and snug without being cumbersome.

The jacket fit and is very cute. I was looking for a warmer jacket, however, so had to return it.

In my usual Marmot M size, the bottom hem was too snug. At 5'2" it fell much lower than on models. The shoulder and bust were snug with layers underneath. But the middle was too loose and arms too long so a larger size wouldn't work. Returned.

The best fitting down jacket Iv owned (and Iv had a bunch of them). I'm curvier and this jacket is perfect. I also love the scotch color, it's so nice. I was worried about it at first because yellow doesn't look good on my pale skin but it's a very flattering color and I get lots of compliments. Iv always loved marmot and glad I finally bought this jacket.

Great Fit. Perfect weight. Highly recommended for most winter days.

Size: Got a size M and it fits perfectly with a little bit of room for layering. For reference I am 5'4", 145lbs, 36-30-40. Performance: I've worn this from end of winter through spring in VA. It worked well in blocking the cold wind AND I was able to wear it in the car without overheating. I was caught in a heavy rain while wearing it - the jacket is not waterproof, but it had no problem drying up after I hung it, no stain or odor indicating that it ever got rained on. Style: The "mustard" color is the answer to my search, I'm so tired of the black/navy/gray standard of technical outerwear!

Love this jacket. It is super warm and fits great. I ordered a size up from my usual size so that it would be able to fit thick sweaters underneath.

I bought this jacket a few weeks ago and have been so impressed! Living in alaska winters get pretty brutal so I needed a jacket I could wear going outside or going up to the mountains! Highly recommend!

This was my go-to jacket all winter. I wore it over my base layer and under my shell everyday skiing. Kept me warm enough on the lifts and didn't overheat me skiing down. It also looks great and got a lot of compliments.

I really like the style, material, and pattern on this jacket. I usually wear an XS but ordered an S because another reviewer commented that the stomach area is tucked quite a bit. It is contoured but I didn't find it to be significantly so. I very well could have gotten an XS and still fit a sweatshirt under it, but the S fits well too. I love the jacket!
