I started just getting back into running about a year ago due to a back injury. My doctor said that I needed a high support shoe, and I was fitted to the Hoka Cliftons. These shoes are AMAZING and have the maximum cushion. The only thing that I have noticed is that after walking in them I sometimes get blisters on the back of my heels. This may just be because of how I come down on my arch, but it only happens with walking. Other than that, I couldn't complain and recommend these to ANYONE.

My podiatrist recommended Hoka to me to give me more arch support for long distance walking and mild hiking. This show is very comfortable and feels great on my foot. I've worn it for 3-4 mile walks and it's been great! It does, as others have mentioned, have an especially short tongue and the laces are too slippery. If they fixed these 2 things this would be the ultimate shoe! I would like to try other styles- it would be very helpful to if I could do a search and pull up all the styles that offer high-arch support instead of having to open the stats on every style. Overall, very happy with my shoes- thank you HOKA!

Best.running shoes. ever. As an avid runner who loves long distance, I struggled for so many years with foot problems due to high arches/bony heels. HOKA Clifton 6 were recommended to me when I began working at a running superstore, and I thought I would give them a try. I simply can't believe I went so long without every hearing about them or trying them! Great cushion, lightweight, hugs my foot in all the right places, and no foot injuries! You know a shoe is a keeper when you can forget they are on your feet while clocking in the miles. The Cliftons are so much better than the Bondi, due to the fact that they are significantly more lightweight. The ONLY caveat, and why I didn't give them 5 stars, is because as they are being broken in, I get a nasty blister on the inside of each foot, near the first metatarsal and the ball. This may be because the shoes were have a size too big (I initially got 7s when I am a 6.5 in street shoes), the nature of the shoe due to width (I have narrowish feet) or the insole being too stiff. Once the shoes are broken in/my feet have adjusted, I have no problems. I waited til I had gone through one pair before writing this review; I wore my Cliftons for about 5 months (I am not sure on the exact milage but I wore them very regularly) and they are very durable. I will FOR SURE be purchasing Cliftons again.
