I bought these 3 months ago for the very variable winter weather of Calgary Alberta. I wanted a walkable, waterproof boot that would be still suitable for driving and not too warm for the warmer days but still decent when weather turned towards -20?C. So far the boot is proving to be exactly what I wanted.
The only thing I would want to see changed is a sole compound and tread pattern that?s a little better on icy surfaces. The current sole is really poor in this one regard, but otherwise is good.

I bought these for elk hunting and they did great. My feet stayed warm and dry with no blisters and we covered a lot of ground in all conditions.

I wear these boots at a horseback riding facility and in early morning it is cold. Muddy too with all the rain we've been having. My feet stay warm and dry. I like that they're not heavy weight wise. Easy to rinse off. Not sure about durability since I only have these boots a few weeks. I do wear them 5 days a week. This is the read for 3 stars in this survey.

I had a pair of Salomon's DeeMax 3 TS WP's for almost 10 years before my cats peed on them. They were great for snowy winters. These were the most affordable replacements, and they get the job done: they are warm, comfortable, water resistant and supportive.
The main drawback for me is the laces, particularly that they need hooks on the higher part of the shoe, whereas the DeeMax's had velcro. It just makes taking them off and putting them on a little more time consuming.

I bought these in March for a trip to Alaska (in July). I never broke the boots in - just wore them on the plane and for the two weeks or more in Alaska. So happy with them! We did a glacier hike, several boating/hiking treks and my feet were comfortable and dry each time. While we were away, I did have a flapping sound?? Not sure what that's about and when we got home, I noticed the sole of the shoe seems to be separating from the boot itself - this is the same boot that was flapping. Disappointed since they were only wore for 15 days !

I would've given a perfect score but unfortunately I purchased these boots at the tail end of winter so I didn't get an opportunity to try them in large amounts of snow. However, with the weather that I did encounter (1 to 3 inches of snow), they were very warm, water proof, and comfortable.

I bought these boots a few months back. Pleased with them overall. Warm, stay dry well in slush and decent grip. My only complaints with them are the laces, need to be proper boot laces not dress shoe laces, and that the toe box is slightly narrow compared to other Salomon boots - shoes I own. Other than those points, happy with my purchase.

Fit was a little larger than a typical size 42 EU, (USE EU SIZES, the size gaps between them are significantly smaller than US sizes and are much more accurate overall across brands.) but the biggest concern was that this is a winter hiking boot and was very fluffy and warm on my feet. Did not like this as my feet get warm normally.

Fits comfortably, snug around the ankle. Warm in below freezing temperatures without wool socks, and has pretty good grip on the ice.

I bought the boot a year ago, I loved it, very light, comfortable, the only problem I found was that the sole wore out very quickly, as it wasn't used much.

I've been wearing these boots daily for a few months now. The boot is waterproof (i've put it to the test), extremely comfortable but supportive, and much warmer than other boots I've had for everyday use. The only complaint I have is that there seems to be an issue with the mid-to-forefoot part of the sole of the boot. It makes a snapping sound with every step, and I can feel it as well. It's almost as if the sole in this area doesn't flex as it should. Very strange. Otherwise, an excellent boot.

These boots (which so far are dry and fairly warm in 17F temp) replaced another Salomon pair that split between the upper and lower part of the boot after only one winter's use. the person working with me on the free replacement was great but the warranty policy was that I pay for shipping. This was clearly and acknowledged a defect problem but I was expected to pay out of pocket. It doesn't seem fair.

I've worn this the first few days of snow and I already regret buying this. It barely has any tractions on slippery surface. It remains to be seen if it does well in sub -5c weather.
Do not buy this if you're going to wear this on icy surface.

I purchased these boots late August for regular walks and unfortunately as the morning dew has started I have discovered they are not waterproof. I purchased them with this feature being the most important as I walk every day in the countryside. Given they are premium boots this is incredibly disappointing and I would not recommend at all.

Very thin, no arch support, no cushion in the footbed and no way to put in a real footbed. I'll pass on these.

There are about a dozen shoes and boots and I'd love to put to the extreme test. As a speed athlete in a variety of disciplines in all conditions and terrain; skyrunning, trailrunning, mountaineering, even alpine hunting. I, myself, would be a lab for the ultimate testing for Salomon. But, too bad for me, and other small athletes, whom I know to be among the most capable, skilled, and fierce. I'm small at 5'5" with size 6.5 feet. Perhaps a 7 would fit with heavier socks? I'd put to the test the XA Alpines, Toundras, Outblasts, and more if only I fit into Salomon's target. Let's do this Salomon!
