Absolutely amazing! This has become my go to jacket since the day I bought it. 3 months of trouble free DAILY use. I travel 200 nights a year and am constantly seeking out durable light weight clothing that packs small. This jacket excels in both of these categories. The fit is amazing. Was recently in Northern Alberta working in -62 wind chills added this coat under my down parka and was amazed at the added warmth provided. Also have found it to be a handy travel pillow when it is stored in it's own pocket. So many uses and takes up so little space. The only negative i can find is the nylon outer shell could be a bit heavier material, not sure about the long term durability.

Love this jacket, lightweight with excellent freedom of movement and warm with just a T-Shirt on underneath. Perfect for winter temperatures where I live in Sonoma, California. One of it's greatest features is in it's construction, using Primaloft Balls. No down feathers working their way out of the fabric. I returned a lightweight down jacket from a leading company and purchased the North Face Thermoball Jacket for this very reason.

Well made,warm and light weight. Allows me to be active outdoors in cold weather and it requires very little space when traveling. It' s light weight is great which means your suitcase does not injure your back or shoulders!

Just in time for the cold weather! Fit my son perfectly! He says he stays toasty warm in it! Love that it arrived before Christmas and that it fit so well!

I recently purchased the thermoball jacket from The North Face online store. The product arrived in a timely fashion and I've been testing it for about a month in various conditions. I live in southern Ontario and we have been experiencing some pretty extreme weather including "frost quakes" because extremely rapid cold snaps. I am an avid snowboarder, I wear the thermoball as a mid layer under another North Face shell. I rode in minus twenty degrees Celsius and did not experience any feeling of cold, with the exact same dress riding in minus two degrees Celsius without any overheating. This alone is an excellent demonstration of the breath ability and climate controlling characteristics of this new synthetic down.

It's advertised one way... and absolutely exceeds it's expectations in another. I wear this Jacket on my way to work in below freezing temperatures with no problem. It blocks the wind very well! I can go on and on. Bottom line_______________________________it's great.

I own 3 different colors of these and I have to say that the thermoball has the in your face style for urban wearing and the performance for outdoor winter life. If you're looking for a jacket with style, but with no sacrifices in performance at a decent price, then the thermoball is for you.

I bought this jacket a month ago. Best all around jacket I've ever had. It's extremely lightweight, and amazingly warm. I've worn it out to walk the dogs every night this week (28 - 35 degree range) with just a T-shirt on below it. I have yet to be cold. The only drawback I can find is lack of an inside pocket, but that's not a deal breaker for me. If you enjoy being warm without the BULK, this is for you. Worth every cent!

Incredibly light weight and warm. A great jacket for active life outside in the teens.

Fit quality is very good. I was disappointed with the weight at first, I thought it was too light. However it has turned out to be a great layering piece. It has also been a great coat on it't on here in Ga. I would have loved to have had an exterior (vertical) chest pocket for sun glasses-- but that would be my only dislike. The appearance of the coat it's self is teriffic, over all I think it is a garment.

I love my new jacket it's true to size. It's warm and it was shipped out within 2 to 3 days I'm in the process of ordering my next jacket.

This jacket is really close to perfect. It keeps warm outside and I can wear inside as well. It is like a thermos. Just keeps it right :-). I wish it were just a little bit less shiny but it does not bother me that much. I truly am enjoying it and I am going to buy another one with a hood. It does everything a heavier jacket will do without the bulk.

I initially bought this jacket for it to be my every day, just throw on and go jacket for around town, and for a warm ski day if the opportunity would arise. I was hoping that it would be warm enough for myself to be comfortable to about -15C... but man was I ever wrong... Yesterday I was cleaning off snow, shovelling, and just walking in ~-20C with a pretty decent windchill of ~-30C and i was completely and totally and wonderfully comfortable. I was blown away by how warm this jacket is considering how incredibly thin and light it is. I am so happy I purchased this jacket and would recommend it for anyone that is looking for an impressively light, yet incredibly warm jacket for whatever life throws at you

I wasn't so sure about this jacket being that it is amazingly light weight but I gave it a good test at the Grand Canyon during Veterans Day weekend. With only a flannel and a t-shirt underneath the thermal balls, i was very warm for three days of hiking and cold nights around the fire. it was a bit warm in the sun so i packed it up a few times and clipped it to my pack. Great jacket!

I love this jacket. Very light and warm but not too warm that it can't be worn on temperate days or even indoors. Add a shell and proper undershirt and it should work fine for sub zero temps. The fit on me is perfect. Medium size and I'm 5'9" and 150#s. I like the drawstring on the bottom to snug it up. It should be perfect for airline travel when you need to pack light. Just roll it up and stow it. My only concern might be the zippers based upon one review. Mine work fine but I'll watch it. Regardless, North Face has a great lifetime warranty.

I bought this jacket a while ago getting ready for the cold Minnesota winter and found that it was lighter than it looked but that does not dwarf its amazing heat retention. Wearing this jacket alone is not warm enough for a cold winters day and that's okay because its a fall weight jacket, but combined with a fleece underneath and a wind shell on top its as warm as any other jacket on the market in it's price range, probably even warmer. I proud to say it's the investment I've made since the North Face sleeping bag I bought last year.

This is the lightest and warmest jacket I have ever owned. It is so light you think you are not carrying anything. It is remarkably warm for its weight. It also folds up to a very small roll. You need this jacket for your collection!

Nice Jacket. The only thing I would change is adding an inside zip pocket. Already Bought one for my 10 yr old as well.

I bought this jacket in TNF Red a couple weeks ago prepping for a late season trip to Mt. Whitney. Honestly the biggest selling point was the color and claim that the jacket performed better in damp conditions than regular down. It was the perfect weight/size for a mid layer, but I was skeptical about the warmth because its so ridiculously light and fairly thin. After 10 minutes on the mountain I was blown away. While the jacket retains heat during normal light wear, this thing comes into its own during high activity. If you're generating heat, this jacket traps it, locks it in and keeps you cocooned in warmth. I used it in temps between 10F-20F in dry-to-snowy conditions and would highly recommend it as an essential piece of gear.

Great jacket fits well as long as you want an orange jacket & not a red as represented. But cute so I did not return it.

Great lightweight jacket without sacrificing warmth. Packs down into a very compact size which is great for layering for hiking and other outdoor activities. My only complaint is the unusual cut. It works decent enough for me but the fit will be odd and untenable for some- the cut is very slim around the torso but also fairly tall with long sleeves...
