Bought this for my husband because he doesn't like bulky jackets. It keeps him warm and he likes that it's compact and folds into its pockets.

I was skeptical about this jacket when I first received it in the mail. It was SO lightweight. I had been shopping for a jacket that was lightweight yet warm, since living in NYC makes it a pain to be in a huge puffer jacket. I really thought this jacket might be warm enough on say a 50 degree day. Then I tried it on, and boom: instant warmth. I've now tested it down to just under 30 degrees and it feels great. I'll layer with a hoodie just for a little extra warmth, but this really does the trick. As of writing this, it's in the teens in NYC, and unfortunately this jacket is NOT warm enough for that, even with layering. With windchills in the single digits, it's absolutely a puffer jacket type of day.
The one drawback would be the sleeve length. It's *just* long enough. I'm a tall guy with long arms, so this may not be an issue for everyone, but I wish there was just a tiny bit more length to the sleeves. It's so minute that it doesn't really bother me, but still. I went with a size large, which fits my 6'2" frame well in the body.
At the end of the day though, this jacket is going to be fantastic for milder (30 degrees and up) winter days, and will be fantastic in the early spring/late fall seasons!

I used this product with early morning hike and early morning mountain bike rides, I like the light weight, easy to stuff in the pocket of my jersey or storage on my camel pack. After your body temperature comes up, you can just take it off. Great for cool down also.

I use this as an everyday casual jacket. I think it will prove great as a traveling jacket, able to compress for easy in my travel bag.

These are the lightest warmest jackets I have found. Easy to take care of, just throw them in the wash machine. Soft and comfy too. Only slight negative, material tends to snag on things, usually the material stays good but the sewing pulls a bit. No serious damage even after contact with thorns and dog nails. Love these jackets. I now own three in different colors.

This is the perfect jacket for fall and spring days. It's both warm and helps keep the chill out from the wind. Also a great jacket for travel as is compacts down to nothing and is light weight.

Was shoveling the night of the 2016 eat coast blizzard and the snow just aggregated on the outside of the jacket with no melting, indicating good insulation - my body heat was kept inside and didn't melt the snow. Yet it's light and breathable. Good fit for me, I'm 5'11', avg build, and a medium fits, but could also prob rock a large just as well.

Ordered this jacket and a similar one (different brand) at the same time so that I could compare jackets. North Face jacket, although similar to other brand in weight, appearance, and feel, won out!! I wore both jackets outside for about 20-25 minutes in windy 30 degree weather. The North Face jacket warmed faster and held warmth better. The other jacket has been returned to the manufacturer!! North Face made a believer out of me!!

I have nothing to say negative about your product. North Face is just fantastic brand to have. The product looks great and holds up as time passes with each wear. You can wear with nice or casual clothes to stay comfortable, warm and in style.

There is a NorthFace store near me which I usually buy from; however they dont carry the same assortment you can get online. I am super pleased with this purchase. It is not the warmest jacket, but very cool looking, almost winter-camo look, good for a normal winter day. Sized slightly bigger it seems than the jacket I purchased last year.
