The Sally versus the Freedom: I have tried on both types. There are pros and cons for each and let me briefly explain here. For the same size, the Sally has a slimmer fit. The waist is not adjustable, and there is less extra room around the hip and thighs. So if you are a snowboarder or, if you have a lower than average waist-to-butt & thigh ratio, I would suggest going for the Freedom pants. The Freedom style has Velcro adjustments to further tighten the waist. And there is definitely more built-in room around the butt and thighs, with extra venting along the inner thighs as well. Overall, Sally is great value for a pair of quality pants. Freedom deserves its price point for its versatility and technical features. It just doesn't offer the same type of slimming look that Sally does.

I'm 5'4" 108 lbs with waist measurement of 26" and hip is 34". I have more of a lean runner type body, am not that curvy, and have a smallish butt. I ordered and xs regular and they fit great in the waist and legs. I feel like there is still a little extra room in the butt area for those who have a medium sized butt. They are not too tight to move, but tight enough that they feel stylish and flattering. I have not worn them for outdoors yet so I can't speak to anything other than the fit, which I'm happy with.

Love these pants but the small was tight (tried on over polartec tights) I’m 5’5, 130 and the seat was very tight and the rise seemed short. I also ordered the medium which are a little big but way more comfortable so I’ll keep those!

I finally find long pants... I am 5'10 and the length is perfect. I am 155 lbs so the medium fit perfectly but its too thigh to ski with so I order a Large/Long. It's light weight and I recommend these snow pants!

Tried these out for the first time in Vail in 10-30 degree F weather. I wore two base layers because I get cold easily and these pants worked perfectly. Love the style. I'm 5'7" and about 110-115 lbs. I bought both XS and S in these pants. They both fit but the S worked better co spidering all the layers I like to wear.

I'm 5'7" and 170. I ordered an XL regular length and they were too big through the waist, but also too long. The XL sizing felt more "big and tall" (I don't consider 5'7" to be "short"). Wish these had fit (going to keep my eye out for the L to go back in stock).

I bought these because they seemed to be a stylish way to stay comfortable and warm during socially distanced, outdoor hang-outs in Wisco this winter. Unfortunately, they weren't very warm (style is fine). I was able to sit outside for about 2 hours until my lower body (legs and feet) started to go numb. These snow pants are designed for those who are active and moving about outside, not for plain old sitting outside around a fire pit.

I've had a pair for about two years before having to retire it. The fit is formed fitting, I usually wear coldgear long layers and padded shorts underneath. I'm 5'5, 30" waist x 36" hips, I wear Levi's Jean size 28, weighing in at about 145lbs with athletic build. I bought a size 10 to ensure a comfortable fit. The hips are just right but the legs are a tad long, about a quarter inch of drag despite the added height of my snowboard boots. It's not a customizable fit, lacking Velcro adjustment straps or ties; so I definitely didnt want to change sizes. The length of the legs doesn't matter when I'm strapped in so it doesn't affect my riding. After a year of use I notice after completing few runs I can feel the moisture building up and working through the material on my rear from sitting on the snow to strap in or on the knees from kneeling during a quick water break on the slopes (I carry a pack). Its treated me decently for the past 2 years as a beginner to intermediate snowboarder. I'll probably use these for winter hikes from here on out. I've now invested in a pair of Freedom insulated pant to continue fine tuning my skills and learning new tricks on the mountains in NE.

Very happy with these pants. I did order a size up and was happy. 5"8 and 190 and normally large but read reviews and glad I got xl.

I was looking for snow pants to wear over my regular pants for dog walking. The style is too tight for this. Otherwise nice pants

Bought these for an upcoming ski trip. I am usually a size 4 and bought the small. They are very snug. I wish I had sized up.

This pair of pants aren't as flexible as the STH pair, and seem a little thinner. They would work better for a straighter shape, and I'm more curves, so they don't allow any stretch and are harder to move in.

Have not worn the pants yet.. I love that the pants are lightweight. Can't wait to use them while riding my motorcycle and for a trip to Alaska. I love North Face products.

Comfy, blocks out the MN winter cold and wind, have inner lining to prevent snow from sneaking in, and my husband thinks I look well dressed in them. Wear them all the time.

I LOVE the fit off these pants! They are flattering in the waist, yet still functional! I got an XS and they fit 100% true to size - perfect for layering with a light legging underneath, yet not too loose! Would totally recommend and can't wait to hit the slopes in them.
