I have lived in Vermont my entire life, and I am always cold. I also have children that ski race and play hockey, so I spend a lot of time standing around in cold weather. This jacket, and my heated mattress pad are the best purchases I've made that I can remember. It has held up this entire winter, I've had it for about 6 months, and I haven't had a tear in the fabric or a feather pop out. And I am not a gentle jacket wearer. I have three boys and am always carrying stuff, getting pulled somewhere, etc. This jacket has held up to that kind of wear, looks new, and is SO WARM. Plus, it's awesome looking. You're never going to look svelt in a down jacket, but this is NOT a sleeping bag look and it's not overwhelming. I got a small, I'm usually a small in this brand, and it's big enough that I can layer comfortably underneath it, so I would say it runs a tad on the big side. The neck is awesomely cozy and high, and the hood is a really nice feature. Did I mention it's warm?

My husband purchased this coat for me for Christmas after I complained that my Canada Goose although warm, it is way to bulky. Living in Boston I have found that this coat is perfect for the cold and windy city winter days. It does run slightly large, I purchased a M and I am 5'5" 145 lbs with an athletic build. It is slightly large on me but I can fit all of my bulky sweaters underneath. I love that it is nice and lightweight yet still so warm!

The Seyla Coat is a welcomed addition to my wardrobe; warmer than my Durant, lighter and more comfortable than my Patera. It's super cozy and packs down small for travel. It does have an interesting shape ... more of a bell shape with no real discernible waist definition ... but on me it seems to work. I'm usually a large in Regular Fit and originally purchased it in large. But this coat runs big and exchanging it for a medium resulted in a much nicer silhouette and prevents drafts from sneaking in from the bottom. At 5' 4" I am pleasantly surprised that the arms are not too long, as most Arcteryx outerwear seems to be for my height. Another bonus is the length and snugness of the neck when fully zipped. It fits me comfortably without having to wear a scarf or neck warmer, and the hood isn't too big, nor does it droop forward. It has kept me warm at -10C to -20C during hour long brisk walks, as well as watching 2 hour games in hockey arenas. It does an adequate job of blocking wind and shedding minor rain and wet snow, and dries quickly. It is classified as an urban coat rather than an athletic piece, and to this end it performs exactly as intended. Plus I get a lot of compliments :)

on the first day of use, fluff comes out over the entire area of the jacket. both through the seams and through the material itself.

I love my new jacket. It keeps me warm but I don't sweat, it's also super light. The openings of the pockets are rimmed with fabric which is a new feature, this is nice it avoids the down fabric around the pockets from looking dirty

The Seyla parka became my go to basically the day I got it. I love roomy fit. What makes it my favorite is the weight. I live in Central Oregon and our temperature varies greatly from morning to afternoon. Most parkas are a chore to haul home when it's too warm to wear. But at just over a pound, this down parka is lighter than most of my jackets. I've gotten a few snags that nicely cover with patches (I purchased the black color and am glad I did for relatively invisible repairs). I love this so much I'm adding the Centrale Parka to my collection. I did have to adjust the bottom zipper a bit. At first it would just slide up if I walked or moved. But I just tightened it a bit with pliers and it's worked perfectly since. I can still use the bottom zipper for ventilation but it does not open on its own.

I just received this cozy down jacket for my Xmas gift from my husband and When I tried it seems a little puffier than any other down jackets. However I was so happy about how they styled to be fit and I can layer vest or cashmere/ wool sweater to be warm walking outside in negative degrees. I saw the other reviewers saying this jacket is not durable. So I think that if someone wants to have warm & durable jacket, I recommend this jacket compared to any other winter down jacket I've tried.

This coat in Whiskey Jack (eggplant purple) is gorgeous! The fit is perfect: not too loose or tight--shaped well--not bulky or heavy! Definitely a quality, everyday coat. I sized down and the small fit perfect and left enough room to layer. Although it isn't waterproof (water resistant) it stood up well in cold rain,-- nothing came through or soaked the coat! I reach for this coat everyday!

If you want a trim fit may need to size down. But fits nicely in the shoulders and has enough room for layering. Fits much bigger than the cerium jacket in the same size. Very warm and light. Fabric does seem delicate.

Nothing is ever too big on my 5'9", 160 lb frame. But this was. Size down if you're used to trim fit. This is a regular fit.

This jacket is light and warm! Did not think a jacket could be both while still looking nice. My only concern is that it will lose its volume quickly. I've worn this jacket 6 times and I usually end up with feathers all over my clothes. There are always feathers coming out from the seams as well. I've never owned a puffy down jacket before, so I'm not sure if there is a period of time where this happens and then eventually it stops? I was also hoping the difference between the medium and large would have been less. The medium fit me on top the way I would want a jacket to fit, but I could not get it to zip up. The large fits, but it would have been nice if it didn't have so much volume.

This coat is extremely lightweight but very warm. I wear S in all Arcteryx jackets. This one is a little roomier than the other ones so it gives you plenty of room for heavier layers. It's exactly what I wanted. The only thing I don't like is the sleeves are not very flattering, they just used a little bit too much material in those areas. But overall a great winter coat.

I like that the jacket, is light weight , warm and super comfortable. Iam petite size so the jacket is really long and the fit is a bit off from top to bottom.. sometimes I feel iam inside a balloon.. but bcoz it is warm and comfortable it doesn't really matter.

I love this jacket but was very much inbetween sizes. I ended up sizing down to a medium as the large was HUGE in the waist area. Would make an excellent coat for someone who was expecting. The features I do love are the hood that fits perfectly. I also appreciate the sleeve length as I can never find a jacket with sleeves long enough. As for warmth it keeps you warm into -10 but I have also worn it in 0 degrees and up and don't overheat. It has held up well and have barely lost any down.

I bought this last week and have used it every day so far, twice at work and once on a link hike in the mountains. It was -10 and I was toasty warm. I bought an XL to wear as a maternity jacket and I am normally a medium, so it's large on me, but still keeps me warm despite the empty space. I love the lightweight nature of the coat, the pockets and the fit. The hood and high neck keeps the face warm. Some cons, the fabric is very lightweight so you are sacrificing durability. I work as a pilot and we are around engine tents and boxes with sharp things that can be abrasive so I have to be super careful because I didn't expect the fabric to be this light. Also the Fabric catches in the zipper when I pull it up, so I have to zip slowly. Maybe this is because the jacket is a little loose on me at the moment. Overall I am Very happy with the jacket.

I gravitate towards practical gear for outdoor activities in all kinds of weather. The Seyla coat isn't waterproof (no goretex) but I find it to be a very warm cozy coat that fits comfortably. It is in the slightly larger end but I found it to be a pleasant lifestyle contrast compared to my other jackets (Patera Parka, even beta ar) I went with the black as it is simple and versatile. As long as it's not pouring rain, I'll be wearing this coat all winter

I love the lightweight warmth and the fact that I can wear this over sweaters. It's a nice contrast to the Nuri fit that's too cinched in the waist to wear anything thick underneath. I do look pregnant in it (5'2" and 105 lbs) but other than that a great fitting coat for petite women.

I recently bought this coat from the outlet website. It's a great coat for my urban pursuits, including running errands and walking my dogs. It's lightweight, a good length (covers my butt in the winter - critical in cold climates). This has been mentioned in previous reviews, but the zipper is a huge issue in the sense that it easily splits if there is any tension on it (squatting, abducting my legs, etc). This coat is not worth the price for this huge design flaw.

Was so excited about this jacket, but the noticed that I looked pregnant (which Im not). The very puffy pockets make the waist part a bit too big.. I even tried it with my warm sweater - did not help.. So disappointed about that! Otherwise, it is a very warm, light, and nice quality jacket in beautiful colors. Unfortunately, I will return it.

I bought this in blue. It is cosy and lightweight but feels quite fragile on the surface. Overall it is disappointing for the price, really just looks like standard high street puffa. It is very big around the waist and hips. Huge in comparison to the chest. Even an internal drawstring here would help. I bought XL and have XL in Patera Parker which fits nicely. Will be returning this coat.

Sadly, this coat is *not* made for petites! (I'm 5'1 and 100 lbs) It is so comfortable, but alas the search continues for a high end, winter-proof, cozy winter coat that actually fits. The XS definitely runs large so size down at least once! Agree with another reviewer (and you can see in the video) that it makes you look pregnant. But again I won't lie, if you're looking to get away with wearing a sleeping bag, then this coat is for you! :)

This coat is very, very comfortable and lightweight. BUT, I look pregnant big time! It looked like that in the pictures online but I still ordered it hoping it was not that bad, but it is. There is stiff insulation by the tummy where the pockets are which will make anyone who wears this look pregnant. I just couldn't get over that and so I returned it. I was really bummed out though since it felt so comfortable and seemed like it would do a good job keeping me warm in winter months. I ordered a Medium which is my usual size in anything.

Nice jacket except that it is weirdly bell shaped which means that cold air can just come up the bottom which makes all the nice down filing basically useless. It needs a draw string at the bottom or something.
