I LOVE the North Face Shelbe Raschel Hoodie!! I just bought my second jacket from Zappos in the Matte Black with gray embroidered logo in size XL. My last NF Shelbe Raschel jacket was from a few seasons ago, in the Galaxy purple color and size Large, which still fits great but I wanted the jacket in another color this time! :) I noticed NF changed the fit of the jacket with this new one (matte black) and since the Large fit so tight on me with no room to wear a sweater or sweatshirt, I ended up going with size XL. Size XL wasn't too big on me considering I am usually Large in jackets. A huge tip from another reviewer on here - this Matte Black has the North Face embroidered logo, which kind of makes these jackets special. I ordered a brand new one of these jackets in North Face Black, same style, from another website and the logo was ironed on like a sticker.

Measurements Bust:42.5 Waist:33 Hips:39 Hight:5'4" Weight: 160 Size Large I probably could also fit in a medium if I wanted a little more snug feeling jacket, but the large is cozy. It allows me to move my arms & shoulders comfortably without restriction. Because I'm shorter, it covers my butt & I don't feel it looks too big on me. I have only had this for a day so I can't speak long term yet but it's checking all my boxes. I friend asked me to pick out a jacket from the site as a gift. I had a heavy waterproof jacket & a light rain jacket. I wanted something in between that would keep me warm when it was cool & windy out. I work at a school and am outside from 11:20 to 11:50 every morning in Northern California. In the winter it's usually anywhere between 40-70 so I wanted something comfortable & lightweight for the lower temp windy days. It's not a loud crinkle jackets. It's fairly light weight. It feels similar in weight to a zip up hoodie but the outer shell protects from wind and moisture. It's stretchy enough on me that I can even push my sleeves up just below my elbow & it will comfortably stay there. It's totally lined with the soft fleece, even the pockets & hood. There is like a soft athletic jersey material on the inside cuff of the sleeve that is really nice. I wish that part had some thumb holes in it, that would be a really nice addition! There are little pieces of thin paracord wrapped in the zipper pull which makes it seem fancy but I don't think they are necessary. You can remove them if you want to. It got caught on a door jam today with a piece of broken wood & didn't snag so it doesn't seem like it's snags super easy. I am happy with this jacket. I would definitely love to own another in a different color, I might try the medium to compare. I have the ponderosa green. I would say it is a teal leaning forest green. I was weary of the lighter colors I thought maybe they would get dirty around the sleeves. I'm happy with my choice!

I always wanted a northface jacket and this is just perfect. The inside is so soft and velvety.

Great light jacket! This jacket is slim and feminine without the bulk of the puffer jacket. I am 5'7" and 115 lbs and the small fits like a dream with room for layers. It JUST covers my bum and the arms are a perfect length. The inside is super soft and cozy. This will be a great spring/fall jacket. Also great for early morning hikes and cold evening in summer. The windwall protection is a must for the windy chill of Bend, Oregon!

This is a great jacket and I have owned about 4 over them over the years. My original one was purchased about 5+ years ago and it has been redesigned a multitude of times. That being said, each redesign has been an improvement on the last. I can wear this coat well into 35 degree weather before switching to my triclimate jacket. The sleeves are better designed this time as one continuous sleeve and not cuffed like my old 5yr old version. It allows it to look a bit more streamlined and put together. The original jacket had a tapered first but was more relaxed. This one is fitted nicely with the seams placed better. I think it is far more flattering now but might be a deal breaker for those looking for a less fitted look. Then I would suggest sizing up. But I purchased it in the same size I had and I'm happy with it. Both the new and 5+ yr old version of this coat are weighted the same which is great since I always fear a drop in quality as time goes on. The only negatives I have about the new design is that "TNF Black" must have changed. My original coat is a dark jet black with this new one being more a grey/black. That was a bit disappointing as i purchased a triclimate coat at the same time and that is indeed TNF black. I looked at others reviews pictures though and it seems to just be true of this jacket. Also I have last years version of this jacket as well in purple and for some reason this year the logos are just silk screened on instead of embroidered. I know it's not a big deal but come on north face. ...Why would you skimp on such a simple thing that makes your product seem more luxe. The silk screening logo just makes it feel less special. Overall I'd still buy this jacket again as it is one of my favorites that I wear often.

I love this hoodie! All my coworkers want to buy one too after trying it on. So soft on the inside, and protects from light wind and rain. Really nice colours. Would def buy another one in another colour. Perfect for Vancouver BC weather, even this summer!

I really love this hoodie. The stitching on the hoodie makes it look very stylish. The lining is smooth so it is easy to layer over other tops, ie the sleeves of the top underneath do not pull up as you put your hoodie on. I bought it in navy and I think the hoodie has a classic look. It is warm but not super warm to wear. I highly recommend.

I wasn’t sure at first how this jacket was going to turn out with ordering it online plus not seeing it in person, but knowing I could return it if it didn’t turn out to be what I wanted was my main decision to give it a go. Surprisingly, this jacket exceeded all my expectations and it has now become my go-to winter/spring jacket! I'm normally a size large or xl in tops depending on type of material and decided to get this in XXL which provides plenty of room to layer up. The only drawback I have with this jacket has to do with the hoodie which isn’t detachable so can’t be removed and there are no drawstrings, so can’t tighten the hoodie if it gets too windy out. Other than that, its crazy lightweight and has a super soft fleece type of material lining all over inside the jacket. Feels like I’m wrapped up in a cozy blanket. I also love that the outer shell lining is made of soft and flexible material, not stiff or tough to move in at all which makes driving a complete breeze. Living in central Wisconsin, the temperature also gets quite cold during winter months and so far I’ve been able to wear this jacket with it being 20 degrees outside but don’t think any temperatures lower than that, or layer up. Highly recommend!!!

The BEST coat ever! I bought this for my teenage daughter and I am so jealous. I'll definitely be borrowing this! It's so classic; the fit, the look, the feel! By far the softest and most versatile coat we have owned! I am seriously considering buying one for me now! Great Purchase would highly recommend I'm 5'6" and 165lbs and the XL fits great even over a sweater. If you are shorter or like a tighter fit the L would also work!

Great for everyday wear. This brand always has long lasting products! Weather is about 40-50 degrees here and all I need is this jacket even with a short sleeve shirt. I'm 185lbs 5'9 and I got an XL so I can fit a hoodie under but a large could fit too.

Words can not describe how much i love this jacket! I bought 2 of these last season, and came back again this year to buy another one. It is soft and stretchy, figure flattering, and lined with a soft furry material that feels amazing against your skin. I love the new colors this year and that fact that they change the colors every season. You can never have too many jackets, right? I bought the black matte shine color, and it's beautiful. What i like best about this color is the fact that the north face logo is actually embroidered on this jacket. The logo is gray in color. Some of the other colors of this jacket have an iron on logo instead. I much prefer the embroidered. If you are thinking about this jacket, do yourself a favor and give it a try. You will not regret this purchase!

I have worn this on blustery Chicago winter days and it was as warm as my puffer. Plus the inside feels like a mink coat! Have never been happier with a NF product than this one. And of course the color is beautiful.

I love, love, love this coat. I'm 5'3 and 125 lbs and a small fits me perfectly. It is water repellent so you won't end up soaked in the rain or the snow. It is perfect for the fall, and in the winter it is definitely warm enough if you layer a hoodie/sweatshirt underneath.
