I bought this reading all reviews about the warmth and comforts but unfortunately it's not comfortable.I bought a large although I wear medium but found the inner jacket to be snug and out one to be loose.I am returning because inner feels snug even without layers underneath. This is not the type of fitness I would want given the price of the jacket for both outer and inner.

Returning the jacket. Color looks blah! The darts on the front of the jacket makes it look so dated. Not for me.

This jacket would have been great if it was breathable or at least had pitzips for venting. I tried wearing the shell and liner separately and zipped together, and all three ways made me start sweating within a few minutes. I needed to open the jacket to cool off and then I became cold because I was wet. I tried wearing it a few times to make sure, but ended up returning it.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This jacket is very stylish however it is not very warm. The inner layer is okay for PA fall weather and the outer layer is okay for late summer evenings. The two together cannot keep you warm past 40 or 50 degrees. I am very disappointed as I live in Pa and our winters can get down to the negatives. I bought this jacket to commute back and forth to work in. I did not want to have to wear an extra layer but with this jacket it is a must.

It does look like the picture, but i saw the same jacket at a store and wore it. It was much warmer, thicker and heavier at the store then what came in the mail. the one i received was much thinner, not as warmer and noticeably lighter than the one i saw in the store.

Love the look, feel, and lightweight yet warm feel. Unfortunately small to size. Inside coat snug,, outside shell fit well. Had to return and not able to evenly exchange for size larger.

Buy 1 size up. I did that myself and still too small. Can't lift my arms above my shoulders in it and back of coat is very narrow. Only kept it because I needed a warm coat in N.E.

Purchased the jacket for my wife. Jacket arrived and wreaked of cigarette smoke. I get that items might be worn or tried on by someone else only to be returned and then sold again. I do not understand how North Face didn't catch this. Do they even inspect their returns before selling them to someone else?

Poor quality. Fabric melts. Inside liner is 2 sizes smaller than outer coat so cant wear that alone. Velcro on cuffs does not stay stuck. Should have returned it.

When I first ordered the medium, I had to return it. The arms were so tight I couldn't cross my arms and I could barely move. I got it in the next size up, and it was better but it still pulled in the arms. I guess I could have kept the large to wear around, but it would be no good to build a snowman in or do any kind of physical activity in really. It was just uncomfortable. When I raised my arms, my wrists were exposed and so was my stomach. If I tightened the wrists all the way, the wrist exposure wasn't bad, but the stomach exposure was. I am 5'8 and 135 pounds for reference. Something was just off about this coat.

North Face quality must have taken a dive. For what I spent I thought I would get more than 1 ski season out of this coat. Zipper is defective and won't stay zipped, developed a rip when there was no injury made to the front of the coat fabric (cheap fabric). Sent for warranty repair or replacement. Instead of doing the right thing, they claimed that it has nothing to do with craftsmanship, so that they can say they won't repair or replace due to "wear and tear." They didn't fix the tear, and forgot to even address the zipper after having this coat for months. Offered me 50% of the original price of the cost to buy another north face coat (Um no thanks) and I have to resend the coat all over again and hope they will fix the zipper. Buy another brand. I was loyal prior to this but want to save someone else the money and hassle.

Meant for snow, rain, and gym. Logo is a sticker instead of sown on. Right out of the box the sticker was peeling. The shoulders are a bit tight on the medium. But a large would be too big.
