These shoe fit well and are comfortable. I have to wear arch supports so I can't comment on the arch support in the shoes.

I love them I purchase them in a man's size in order get the extra width I need due to my fallen arches seconday to my age. I assume the shoes arch support is adequate but take it out and use my prescribed arch support all the time instead. Had always used laced shoes until my previous pair when I switched to V strap as I am now 82 and they make life easier and readily adjustable.

(I wear these to improve my walking. I can no longer run.) The wide platform provided by the sole is exactly what I need to help compensate for my reduced balance resulting from neuropathy. The Velcro straps enable me to put on my own shoes despite my reduced spinal flexibility resulting from spine surgery.

I was introduced to Brooks shoes from my brother William Hartford he owned South Boston Running Emporium He gave me a pair of them I was hook I purchased four more pairs myself I am now on my fifth pair now the shoes are comfortable get about a year and a half out of a pair. . Sincerely M. Hartford
