These are "2" version of my beloved Addiction Walker shoes. They do not seem to GIVE as much in the upper part of the shoe, especially across my arch, after a month of wearing them. They still fit pretty tight which I'm not sure I like so much. They are harder to get off and on than Version 1 shoes. I like the extra loops for lacing up on the tongue to help keep it in place. The cushioned base feels the same so the last is made well as always.

Very comfortable for long standing shifts but breathable at all which is understandable for leather. I have been airing my shoes out at night which helps but over time I'm afraid they will start to smell.

Very comfy but not breathable. I hope over time they do not develop a stench.

I have been buying these sneakers for 5 years. And no more plantar fasciitis. The new design on the addiction Walker 2 is alright. The leather feels lighter though. This pair doesnt squeek!

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Not as STURDY constructed as the version 1 Walkers. Please bring back the previous version.

i like the support that the Addiction Walker II shoe provides overall but it lacks arch support. I added an arch support insole to the Walker. I usually purchase the Adrenaline shoe which I prefer.

It's the same old Addiction, the last version was more appealing in look. Not the best looking shoe out there.

Had to buy a half-size larger for comfortable fit this year--although my foot hasn't changed! Overall, this has been a great walking shoe for me. I wear it almost 365 days/year!

Shoes did not give and did not fit as expected, I have narrow sizing.

Nice support, but I need my orthotics. A bit wide in the heel for my narrow feet, so I use the highest eyelet and lace up tight. Good firm footbed for support. My husband thinks they look like SAS shoes, but he has no style! All white is IN!

I believe I already wrote a review for this shoe, but I wanted to update it. I usually wear a size 10.5. I was wearing a size 10.5 narrow in the original Addiction Walker. Then I got custom orthotics at the same time as the Addiction Walker 2 came out, so I ordered a 10.5 medium to accommodate them. The shoe was long enough and wide enough, but my toes felt scrunched. I think the toe box is just too shallow. I then tried the New Balance 928v3 with my orthotics, in a 10.5 B (medium). Too large. So my next attempt was the Addiction Walker 2 in the 11 medium. I have never worn a size 11, but these were better, although my heel slips a bit. My toes feel good, though. We shall see if these work for me, or perhaps I will need an 11 narrow for a better fit in the heel. I am sure the original Addiction Walker would have fit well in the 10.5 medium. I wish that Brooks had not redesigned this shoe.
I'd also recommend:

It's really unfair for me to rate the shoes because they were for my daughter (nurse).

I wish I could give this shoe a 5 star rating like the old one, but the style Chang is Not the quality of the old Addiction Walker. I do not have as much support as the older model and the design is not as attractive. Looks cheap.
I've worn this shoe for many years And could always rate it a 5 star walker. 4 stars for this style.

I have purchased this shoe several times. However, this time, it seems to be running smaller. I really should have gotten a half size larger, I think.

I finally wore my new pair of shoes and am pleased to say that I think they will work for me. I agree with the others who reported that the toe box is not as wide in this shoe and I had to remove the padding in order to make room for my orthotic so there is a difference in the fit of this shoe. And this was the first time I had worn them and at least on this first day I am relieved that I can still order this shoe to support my feet each day until it is time to order another pair. Does not seem to be as well made as the original Brooks Addiction walker which I found effective, attractive and sturdy. The key element that I find disappointing is the seam on top of the front toe box. This seam is likely to cause problems and I cannot understand why anyone would deliberately design the top this way! A second negative feature is the that overall the shoe feels less sturdy.

Not as comfy as my Ariels. Seems a little wide. Leather uppers are warmer than Ariel mesh uppers this time of year. Once weather is just a little warmer, I am back to my Ariels.
