I have been wearing the Addiction Walkers for a number of years now, and noticed the new version. I bought a pair to try. Suffice to say, sometimes new and improved is not better. After wearing these for the better part of the day, I can't wait to get them off. They seem stiff, no arch support (to me, anyway), and just generally uncomfortable. I have been wearing my old ones to the point where they are falling apart and only wear the A2s when necessary, which at this point in time is few and far between.

I used these for three days and started having serious back pain. Went back to my old walking shoes and after a week it went away. These aren't the right shoes for me.

The shoes were substantially smaller for their stated size and had to be returned.

Very disappointing. No arch support. Walking in these shoes can be very fatiguing.

It's get heavy as my day pass by and I get pain in my right bottom part of leg . So it's definitely not for me. I have ordered couple of other shoes and want to find out how does it feels. I will return it.

Addiction Walker 2--Too bad they have updated this shoe. The store assured me I could break them in. No such luck. The sides of the shoe around the ankle are higher and rub my ankle. There are seams on the inside of the shoe that weren't there in the first version that rub my heel. The update makes the shoe unwearable after the original Addiction Walker had solved a foot problem I'd had for years. I will have to find a new brand of walkers.

After a few months of walking, the Brooks Walker 2 created blisters on my feet. Time to try another walking shoe.

Good they are slip resistant but they look cheaply made especially . Since they are making them cheaper looking. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Have not been worn yet, but upon visual inspection, though Brooks may have Retired the original "addiction walker", it appears that the quality and style of the replacement sneaker is cheaper looking and insoles do not feel comfortable in comparison to the original.

They have Ruined a great pair of sneakers. There was no reason to change series 1. They are uncomfortable and cause pain in my knees when Addiction 1 did not.

I?ve been wearing Addiction shoes for something like 15 years, 2 pair a year, and the Addiction 2 doesn?t measure up. My feet tend to slide forward in the Addiction 2s, and the toe area is not comfortable. I constantly have to kick my foot back to have adequate toe room. And no, the shoes are not too small. I also cycle a lot (like 2,000 miles this year) and never had problems with the original Addictions slipping off the pedals. The Addiction 2s slip off constantly, and it?s a real problem. This new model is no match for the old one. I?m going to return these, and after being a loyal Brooks fan for years and am going to look for alternatives. I urge Brooks to bring the originals back. As for what I like about these..... nothing. If you wore the original Addictions and need new ones don?t bother with the Addiction 2.

I have been wearing the Brooks Addiction walker for over five years. This last shoe I ordered, the
Brooks Addiction Walker Two is not the shoe I have been wearing. I have returned this shoe. I could not walk more than two or three miles and my feet were killing me. I do not know what changes you have made in this shoe, but it does not work for me.

This is such a cheap revision of a solid supportive shoe. The tongue is to short to use all the lace openings and a large piece of material is inside which rubs on the top of the foot. The lace openings stretch and would probably break over time if shoe was laced tightly. The material is do soft it lacks support.

I have been a Zappos customer for over 20 years. I actually called them and spoke to a supervisor. I explained how the Brooks were not wide much less extra wide. These shoes are overpriced and are simply not as advertised. Cheap materials that don't fit. I will send them back and demand that Zappos try focusing on customer satisfaction rather than profit. Anyone who has been a customer over 10 years must know the quality has dropped while prices soar. Zappos, with their purchasing power, can no longer lay the responsibility on the manufacturer!

These shoes are not even wide less extra wide. This is NOT a Brooks problem; Zappos can have their manufacturer make anything they wish; they choose not to do so. The last three pairs of shoe I have purchased, I had to send back. It is apparent to me, Zappos is not longer customer oriented and hasn't been in the past 2 years. Customer since 1999.
I'd also recommend:

long time user Addiction Walker. Recently bought Addiction 2. Very disappointed in the shoe. Did not offer much cushioning when walking or lateral support. Will not purchase another pair. Should Brooks discontinue the Addiction Walker, will probably look to another manufacturer for my next pair of walking shoes

Unfortunately, not an improvement over the excellent original. Quite the opposite Brooks have ruined the longstanding, hugely popular Addiction walker. The footbase is shorter, toes hit the end in one's usual size. The tread that used to make the Addiction suitable for light hiking is gone replaced by an absurdly slippery sole. The tongue feels cheap and less breathable. And all of this without mentioning the hideous aesthetic of this disappointing down-date. The original Addiction Walker was my go-to for years and years. Now must search for something else, alas.
