I've bought these shoes for many years but was extremely disappointed with them. I ordered a size up after reading reviews that they ran small and they still were rubbing against my toes. My feet hurt as well like the support wasn't like it used to be. Ordering different shoes from now on.

These shoes were purchased for my husband for work. His profession requires a lot of standing and walking. He has had foot and leg problems in the recent past. Brooks have made a believer out of him that a good shoe makes all the difference in the world.

Second eyelet from the top seems vulnerable to stress and should be reinforced. Addiction walkers have become very expensive. Perhaps you could streamline operations and reduce costs. Otherwise, excellent walking shoe.

I have purchased at least six of the original Brooks Addiction Walkers over the years. I walk at a fast clip at least five miles a day for exercise, and those original Addiction Walkers were a dream. I never had a complaint. However, the same cannot be said for the Addiction Walker 2. I will not be buying any more Brooks Addiction Walkers since only Walker 2 is available. Within two weeks of my regular walks, I had a blister form on the right side of my right foot where a seam now exists on the Brooks Addiction Walker 2. This is a pity because the original Addiction Walker was perfect. Why companies feel compelled to change an item that already works puzzles me - unless, of course, they can have the item manufactured for less elsewhere. When they do, it appears that Brooks was willing to be satisfied with an item of much poorer quality.

Comfort and a great shoe for a person who has had 5 foot surgeries. Glad to find a shoe to walk in without pain.

These were bought for my dad. He likes this brand and the width for his toes.

I had foot pain and my podiatrist told me that my shoes were not good (I won't name names). Along with his treatment, he showed me his Brooks running shoes and sent me to a local retail store to buy a pair. He said that they knew how to size them properly. The clerk measured my feet and put me in a pair of Dyad 11 running shoes. I really like them (comfortable, supportive, lightweight, good looking). I also needed a casual pair of shoes, but the retail store was quite expensive, so I went directly to the Brooks website and picked out the Addiction Walker 2. They arrived at my house quickly, but unfortunately I chose a size that was a bit too tight. So, I ordered another pair and returned the first pair. The larger pair are just what I needed. The shoes are roomy, comfortable, stable, and nice looking. And the return was just as Brooks promised - quick and easy. I'm impressed with both pairs of shoes and with the company.

I walk about 10 miles a day at work. I brought the Brooks addition II nine months ago and they are holding up well. I replaced the insoles about three times so far. I'm pleased with my purchase. My feet are pleased with the Brooks shoes.

I have had trouble with shoes hurting my feet and If I was on my feet for a while my back would hurt. A friend was wearing these shoes and I asked him about them. He said he always wears them and how much he liked them. I ordered them the next day and haven't worn any other shoes since.

I like these because I can use them for more formal occasions since they are shiny leather. But they still give all the comfort of a tennis shoe.
I'd also recommend:

Compared to the Adiction Walker I have worn for several years (about a dozen pairs):
Lacing pattern has changed with one less lace above the tongue holder making the laces harder to tighten. Shoe feels softer, more geezerlike. When I selected the Addiction Walker as my preferred shoe several years ago it was due to the firmer support. AW II feels softer and a bit more difficult to walk longer distances 3-5 miles. I don't think the change was an improvement.

To whom it may concern, I've only had these shoes for a short period of time & the sole is starting to separate from the front of the shoe itself(both feet). I've always been a fan of Brooks, but I'm a little disappointed this time around.
Thanks,

I am not a runner. I have stage four cancer...cancer in all of my bones. I have metal rods in both legs from my hips to just above my knees. Finding the correct shoe that allows me comfort of movement is extremely important. Obviously, I have tried many different shoes of all types. This shoe allows for the support and comfort I need. It is my goal, every day, to walk 5,000 to 10,000 steps. You can name the shoe anything you want, but this shoe is PERFECT for me. I thank the manufactures!

Most comfortable shoe ever for my feet. I walk 10+ miles per week on hilly terrain for exercise. Never had better shoes. Wear the v-strap model to work. BRING THE BROWN SUEDE MODEL BACK PLEASE!

Best right out of the box experience I've ever had. I have plantar fasciitis, and with my insoles, these are zero pain walkers. This is the only pair of shoes I can make that statement about.
