Addiction 14 shoes are as comfortable as the first Brooks shoes I ordered, which were called Adrenaline 16. I do not run; I just wear Brooks because they are so comfortable. They are the only brand I have found in my small, narrow size.

Love these shoes! I had been wearing a different brand for years but became dissatisfied with their change in sizing. I had a pair of Brooks a long time ago and decided to try them again. At 65 and going strong, I need a wide toe box and added support. These are perfect! Considering getting a second pair.

Purchased today due to a recommendation from my PT due to a fall, broken hip and a total hip arthroplasty. Due to the trauma from the fall i am in need of a motion control shoe. Went to "The Run Shoppe" and was fitted in this Brookes shoe with support that i never had in my Nike or Sketchers... I love both those shoes but due to my hip i needed more support. I could tell immediately upon wearing these Brookes that they were helpful and gave me so much support. I love them so far as it has only been four hours of having them on...

Sized up a half size due to reviews. Glad I did; these fit perfectly. Feel the arch support is great. Have had severe bouts of plantar fasciitis in the past so am very aware of arch support. These shoes are so attractive and comfy I might get another pair to alternate with!
I'd also recommend:

Wanted some light colored athletic shoes for a long time now and I take AA so that's really hard. I love the addiction walker. I had a pair of black oxfords that were leather and I like them too. I didn't know addiction walker came in athletic shoe style. Love them.

Great fit. I have hard to fit feet with bunions. These shoes fit with no discomfort. I highly recommend them & I am now walking longer & farther every week as I use these for walking right now. They look good too.

These shoes are the perfect fit. Sized up a half size bases on reviews; went with narrow width based on previous Brooks fit and now perfect!!! Love the color and arch support.

Love these shoes even though I am not a runner. Only a 6 mile a day walker. At 70 years old that's not too bad

I love these shoes and have worn them for several years. Great support as I do a lot of walking. I used to stand on my feet all day so needed that extra support the Brooks' shoes give. They were recommended by my podiatrist.

Another great Brooks. I have a Morton's Neurons and this shoe is perfect for the extra cushions I need in my shoes. Love this shoe.

The fit, shock absorption, and control are excellent. If you are a larger runner and/or need extreme control, move up to the Beast. If less control, move down, such as the Dyad, Ghost, Adrenaline.

I started wearing Brooks Addiction running shoes 20+ years ago when I ran my first marathon, and it’s the only running shoe I’ve worn since. I have low arches and what I call “duck feet” (wider at the front part of my feet but narrower heels) so my heels slip out from most shoes. Brooks Addiction gives me the support and stability I need with my low arches, my heel stays securely in place, and they are ALWAYS comfortable from Day 1 - no break in period ever. The current version is #14, and they have been consistent over the years. I took away one star for style because they’re kind of blocky looking (not narrow or shapely or cute) but I don’t care. I can walk or run for MILES in these shoes with no problems at all. Note: I do replace the insoles with “Powerstep Men’s Archmolds Maximum Orthotic Insoles” so that adds additional support. I wear a size 7.5 or 8 women’s dress shoe size, but I always size up to 8.5 in all my athletic shoes. These are expensive but worth every penny. And I always buy them from Zappos because Zappos customer service rocks the house!!

These shoes are awesome. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and this is the only shoe I will wear. My podiatrist recommended it and it's so comfortable.

I like the medial stability and the cushioning. I like them better than the adrenalines that I used to run in.

The new version of Brook's women's Addiction is perfect for me. I walk rather than run, but need the support this shoe offers me and the lightweight style allows me to put on many miles at a time.

I overpronate and this brand and model has been my go-to for a long time. It's not lightweight, but no stabilizing shoes are and these are not exceptionally heavy either. A high quality shoe!
