I loved the look and feel of these shoes, but I had them about two weeks before they started falling apart. The pic is from a month later, and I am by no means a long distance runner. I have been wearing brooks shoes for at least 10 years, but $140 for shoes that have holes in them within two weeks is not even remotely ok. I’ve become increasingly disappointed in the quality over the last year or two, hoping it would get better, but I’m going to have to find another brand.

Perfect! These fit like they were custom made for my feet. I have a bit of a wide instep and bunions. So with many athletic shoes I have to order a wide or full size up. With most Brooks shoes, I don’t. I can purchase in my size in the standard medium width. (A few styles Ive gone up 1/2 size). I’ve worn Brooks for years so my podiatrist recommended I try the Addiction line and I’m glad he did. They love my feet and my feet loves them back. Highly recommend these, especially if you have foot problems.

First, I don't use these shoes for running. I've been advised that a good running shoe is the best walking shoe I can find, so I've worn Addiction shoes for my walks ever since about Addiction 8 (?) or 10 for sure, because I have badly pronated ankles and flat feet. Each pair has lasted 2 - 3 years. I commonly put on 3+ miles a day, excluding some weekend days to rest my feet. Winters I walk in a gym, but when the ice melts I'm back outside. This pair and I are still getting used to each other, but having walked 1.5, 2.5, and now 3 miles in them on successive days, I can safely say they're even better than my previous Addition shoes. The heel cushioning is best yet, and my back is grateful. These Addiction 14's feel wide, but that means I can get fatter socks inside them. The heel is a bit wide, too, which causes my heels to slip slightly, but that's a problem I've had with any shoes all my life. To add to this very positive review, I've had foot surgeries, and I'm 80 years old, but I'm not willing to slow down.

Great, supportive shoe but after 2 months the top of the shoes are falling apart.

I love this pair of shoes. Can wear them all day without ankle or knee pain. My only issue with them is that after about a month, a hole wore right around the top rim where your foot goes. There is another review that had the exact same problem in the same exact spot. This was disappointing because as comfortable as they are they look pretty shabby super quickly. I would love to purchase this shoe again, but am nervous about the quality especially at the price.

I like Addiction 14 much better than Addiction 13. The Addiction 14 has the same broad toe box that Addiction 12 had, whereas Addiction 13 had a narrower toe box. Addiction 13 did not work for me at all, but Addiction 14 is very comfortable.

I loved these shoes and wore them for walking over the past month. BUT, after such little wear, they are ripping along the top edge. This looks like a defect to me, and i will be returning them. i'm so unhappy about this.. it took me a long time to find a comfortable walking shoe.

This is my . . . maybe sixth or seventh pair of this model? Or a variant. I was sorry to see that the Addiction 13 had become 14, but it fits and feels just as good. Really, I would wear these every day all day if I could. (Well, since I'm at home now, I AM wearing them every day all day.) I remove the inner sole and put in my custom orthotic and the fit is perfect. Please Brooks: don't change this shoe!

LOVED! My Addiction 13!! But could not find my size anywhere. Talked into the Addiction 14, as the replacement shoe. No way! Addiction 13 helped with my pronation. Addiction 14 does not.. The 14 has way less support especially in the ankle and no support for my foot. I can feel every pebble!! I am wearing them but will never purchase one again. So dissappointed especially for the cost!

These were supposed to be 2A but I have never had a shoe this wide. The toe box is huge, and the sides and heel leave my feet swimming. This is not a 2A by any stretch of the imagination.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I work in a hospital 12 hour shifts as an RN so I need comfortable and good fitting shoes. These shoes fit the bill well. I work with other health care professionals who turn to Brooks for high quality shoes again and again. These are durable and hold up no matter how many hours you are on your feet.

I am so disappointed with this latest model. I have serious foot problems and have been wearing the Brooks Addiction for many years, ever since my podiatrist recommended them. They are the best shoe out there, and I've tried many. Because of the issues of my feet, I have to wear thick orthotics. They have always fit in my Brooks without a problem. The shoes are supportive and enable me to keep walking for exercise. But- they have totally redesigned the heel collar on this model, so that the shoe no longer stays on my foot with my orthotics in. It no longer holds my foot in the shoe, it slips off with each step- really uncomfortable and will lead to blisters. If you don't wear custom orthotics and you want a more padded heel collar, you may like this new design but it will not work for thick orthotics. So I am sadly sending these back, and will have to try to find a new shoe now.

I am a walker and these shoes felt good as soon as I put them on. Very supportive, good room in the toe area and moderate arch. My feet are arthritic, metatarsal pain and I have had two foot surgeries. I will be doing a 5K this weekend and hope that these shoes will keep me pain free.

Comfortable shoes. The quality is poor. Only had been wearing them few times a week for walking and after three weeks of wearing and shoe started to shred. See photo attached.

I’m on average a 8, but with Brooks I always size up to 8.5. This is my fourth pair of Brooks and the Addiction has had the best arch support for a moderate runner.

I am so disappointed. I broke my toe (and arm) in November. It's making my already difficult to fit feet even more difficult. Based on reviews, I bought a pair of Brooks Ariel 18 and, mercifully, they fit. However, they aren't really cute. Comfort trumps cute, these days. I saw these and they were much sharer looking. However, the feel shorter and I would need an Extra wide. I can't afford to cramp my healing toe. I really liked the look and I'm so sorry that they don't work. I normally wear 8.5W in Brooks (my real size in 7.5 medium). I wish Brooks would have a standard last and toe box.

Fit fine, but not as much cushion and support as Ghost or Adrenaline. I usually wear 8 or 7.5W in most shoes (wide toes, narrow heel) and these fit fine in size 8.

I've never cared for wearing athletic shoes as everyday footgear, because I think they're ugly. I purchased these because I have been having serious issues with plantar fasciitis, and they were THE most highly rated commercially available shoes for addressing that condition. I can see why. They really do help me walk in such a way that I'm not making the condition worse. As for the ugly factor, well, maybe I just have to get over myself about that, huh?because these ARE helping me. Age doth bring its indignities...

I am not a runner, but these shoes were recommended by my chiropractor to help a serious back problem. It worked to keep me walking! I have bought a pair once a year for the last 9 years. I have two sisters that wear them too. I have always appreciated the wide toe box. This year's version were just a little snugger, but still comfortable.

I love the Addiction 14. I have super high arches, and a really wide foot. This shoe fits well without any heel slipping. If you're like me, and have pronation issues - you will really appreciate the solid stabilization of this running shoe. Stabilizing, wide toe box, no heel slipping, comfortable on my high arches. All the features I need in a running shoe.

I always remove the inner support and use my own orthotics which fit well in the shoe. Very pleased with the look of the shoes on my feet. Love Brooks comfort and the fact that they carry Narrows (which are extremely hard to find) for my skinny feet!

my foot slides forward just enough that my second toe rubs with the 11.5 size. I have orthotics and when inserted, it is just enough to make the shoe rub my second toe. The next size (12), which i also ordered, is too big. I have many foot issues that other people may not have. So, don't let my review deter you. Nice cushioning.

I wear a 7 1/2. This shoe is a size 9 and fits me perfectly. It's very comfortable. I was looking for something that provided good ankle support. I did a lot of research and this was the walking shoe that was recommended. It did not disappoint. Not particularly in love with the dark gray color, but the shoe function was more important to me.

As typical, my feet have become longer with age. I am SO EXCITED to have stylist walking shoes that fit and are perfectly comfortable! The delivery was so prompt I was surprised as other services have been markedly delayed with pandemic conditions. While I consider the price to be high, these shoes are $40 less than a competitor offers and their’s lacks style. Thank you for the availability of these shoes.
