Play golf twice a week and practice sometimes another day. These shoes are much more comfortable than my previous FootJoys. However, handicap is still the same so don't just buy shoes to improve your game!!!

Use playing golf

This is a bit of an unfair thing to do to a $75 shoe, but I will try and explain as I go. One of the biggest issues golfers have is weight transfer - from the left foot to the right and back to the left. The shoe you wear can either help this or destroy this before your swing even starts. I've been wearing the Skechers Elite V.3 Pro Spikeless model for years, but as conditions got wet, the small nubs on those shoes just didn't grip well enough. I went on my quest to find a shoe that was as comfortable as the V.3, but with soft spikes, and I landed on the Torque. I ordered up a pair, just using my Skechers experience for sizing and when they arrived, they felt like everything I needed in a shoe. I wore them around the house and by the end of hour number one, they felt amazing. Off to the course with them... I played my first 9 hole round with the Torques at a course that features plush fairways and gravel cart paths. What I found was that the "softer bottom" of the shoe played very well with the turf portions of the course, but off the grass, the lighter weight material that makes up the base of the shoe really struggled for stability. Honestly though, unless you find a tour level shoe on clearance, these are going to be about as good as you can get for comfort, performance and comfort. Yes, I meant to say comfort twice - because these do match the Elite spikeless models for comfort and they do feel amazing when walking. Again, for the price, these are one of the best performance shoes out there. Well worth the money!

Style and price are nice however 2 year waterproof warranty failed spectacularly. Tried to get money back but Skechers determined I had too much wear after only 4 months of use to honor their warranty. Best they offered was for me too upgrade to higher quality (read; price) and hope those stay waterproof. I walk the course in the early am so dew is constant concern.

Ordered extra wide and seem too tight. I'll try and wear around house to try and break them in.

Your casuals are great but the golf shoes seem stiff.

I was somewhat disappointed. I ordered a 9 which is normally a hair too big for me. It was too small not only too short, but tight. I had to send the shoes back. I bought another pair of golf Skechers local. They were a 9.5 and loosened up after a bit of wear. I have purchased Skechers via the net in the past with success. It just did not work this time. Waiting on my credit. Should show up soon.

I bought these in March and have worn these 4 or 5 times. Last week I played in damp weather but no rain and my feet were saturated. The join between the upper soles have split, letting water in. I will return them to Sports Direct.
