Great! Classic look and the comfort I expect from asics. Great for cross training

Bought Gel-Rocket 9 as my official first pair of volleyball shoes, I should've done a little more research. I'm a high school varsity volleyball player. I'm a size 10 but this shoe makes me wish I got a 9.5, my foot has actually slipped out of this shoe twice while playing and my foot went off the frame around three times when making extreme turns. One more negative, this shoe is not a spikers shoe, asics markets this shoe as all around but I feel it's much more powerful and centered around defensive players and setters. I feel my jumps are a lot more comfortable, springy, and supported in another brands basketball shoe. The positive with this shoe is mobility, I feel faster in this shoe than any other, and able to make quick turns when needed. Overall, not the shoe I would lean too unless I was a defensive oriented volleyball. If you're a spiker, I would much more recommend asics Sky Elite FF as it's specifically marketed towards spikers and is (in my opinion) vastly superior to this shoe in every way especially jumping and landing. They look really cool which is a plus, I've gotten people complementing the looks of it.

I bought these as my first pair of shoes for volleyball and have been enjoying them a lot. I can get a good amount of spring when I jump, cushion when I land, and grip when I step. I got these in a size 14 and they fit like all other size 14s I've gotten. They fit well considering my feet are narrow. Would highly recommend it to those who want a dedicated pair without breaking the bank.
