I’ve always had great success with ASICS but these are so stiff! I have worn them now for over 2 weeks and they still haven’t softened up any. It’s mostly the insole & around the heel that continue to be stiff.
I will still continue to buy ASICS as they are the best fit for me.

Love Asics but this one slipped on my heel; a rush too big even though 9 W in Asics has always worked for me. Sadly, this one did not.

Fit was a little small by half a size.

My only problem with this shoe is that the ankle area is too tall and rubs my ankle... I have been a long time wearer of Asics shoes and this is the first that didn't feel perfect for me!

I was professionally measured for Asics in a running store AND needed to size up. I normally wear a 9 in a street shoe, but with Asics I had to return the 10 for a 10.5.

I ordered a 7.5W and now I remember why I haven't worn Asics shoes of any kind for more than a decade--they are just too narrow for my feet, which are gettin wider as the years go by. Their wide width was really a Medium width. I took off the laces and put on a thin pair of socks and even then, the shoes were like a vice on my foot. The length was correct so going up a size would be too long. If your foot is narrow, this brand would probably suit you.

does not work if you put in inserts. Your foot will slip.

I love ASICS. Little disappointed at how wide the foot bed was. I can still wear them but I will have to pay better attention when I buy my next pair.

Light but a bit tight on the ankles. They don't fit as good as the Nimbus

Sadly after following all the guidance for measuring my feet and ordering these 1.5 sizes bigger than my usual shoe size I found when they arrived they were just too big. The comfort level was not as good as other styles with noticeably less padding under foot or round sides of the ankle. I found the toe box very spacious even taking into account the wrong sizing.

I have been loyal to ASICS for the last 7 years, and the last few years, after style 19 things have gone downward. I have run in Gel Nimbus for years, the Gel Nimbus 20 I received for Christmas have a hole in the toe. I decided to try the Gel Cumulus, and when they arrived I was surprised how hard they were. They were light as a feather, but with no flexibility whatsoever. When I put them on my feet, I felt I was wearing boards. I am disappointed, and have decided to go to Performance Running Outfitters to try a new brand.

I bought these hoping they might be as comfortable as my gel nimbus 18 (since the new ones aren't comfy at all), but I'm afraid they aren't any better. They look ok, and are still very sturdy shoes, which is why I gave this review 3 stars, but I had to take the gel inserts out of my nimbus 18 and put them in these. They became a lot more comfortable and weren't hard and hurting my feet like the first day I wore them. BRING BACK THE NIMBUS 18 STYLE!!!

The Cumulus 21 I had to return due to my heel slipping up and down no matter how I laced them. I really wanted to like them. They had good padding and felt comfortable otherwise.

I have been wearing Asics since I started running in 2012. For some reasons this pair seems to run larger than all my others in the same size and style. I am developing large blisters on my heel instep because i can not get them to fit properly no matter how the laces are tied. It's disappointing that I have only been able to run a couple of times in them and they are just unable to be worn. Something in the update changed the size.

I tend to buy my shoes from running stores so I can return them after wearing outdoors but I took a chance this time. This will be my third pair of cumulus shoes and I was hoping they didn't change too much from the last pair as I loved them. The changes to the heel support really mess with my body, my heels continuously slip up and down in the shoe. I have hip and foot pain wearing these and after giving them a couple weeks to break in, I just can't wear them. Hope the next model is closer to the cumulus 20s. The color combos are getting more fashionable so that's a positive.

I have been buying ASICS since my college rowing days. Last year I needed to replace, could not find my preferred style, and so tried these. They have been good until last night when my feet were, oddly, wet. These shoes still look perfect and, at not even a year-old, are still supportive for my short 5Ks. Then I flipped them over: HUGE hole in the toe box. That's just poor quality.

Wanted to love these but they were too tight. These are smaller than any of my other ASICS so I exchanged in store for a pair of Gel-Kayanos that fit perfectly.

These are great comfortable shoes. It would have been better to have ordered a half size bigger as the front of my hits right at the front. Next time I will order half size bigger.

Been researching for long, wanted good running shoes and switched from Nike Air and I'm totally disappointed. Not made for long runs.

Pro: They are very comfortable and have lots of support. The top has good air flow and may outlast the soles.
Con: The soles wear out extremely quickly and the glue is weak. The soles are about two thirds worn through under the ball of foot and they are coming unglued in 3 places. I purchased in July, it's now Sept. I walk/jog 3-5 miles 7 days/week and remove them when I'm done exercising. I rarely wear them out. They get a dry brush at night and a damp rag wipe down every couple weeks if needed (we have lots of dust here). Most of my use is on concrete, some on dirt roads and some on the street. So far I've only stepped in one small puddle so moisture isn't the issue.
For the price they should last a minimum of 6 months for the amount and way I use them. My last pair lasted over 6 months so something must has changed for the worse. The tops of these are in great shape, much better than the last pair when they wore out.
Will contact customer service to attempt a replacement that will hopefully last longer.

Very comfortable but the material on the outside only after wearing them 3 weeks has begun to tear very disappointed by this!
