Customer Reviews Ariat Expert Clog SD

Me: super-high arches, wide forefoot, narrow heel, hallux rigidus. My podiatrist recommends clogs, but so far the only clog that fit me (and that I loved and wore to death) was Dansko Arden, no longer made. My high arch and wide forefoot prevent me from even getting my foot into other Danskos, and I've been searching for years for a replacement. I bought these Ariats in 8.5 W--I usually wear 8.5, though in a narrower shoe I'd get 9. The length is just right; the W width here is adequate for me but not roomy. There is very little arch support, and my high-arched orthotics don't fit inside the shoe. I'd size up to 9 but suspect I'd have the same problem with the orthotics. So I'm considering returning, although wearing them without orthotics might work, at least if the leather softens up a bit (it seems very stiff). If anyone knows of a good Dansko Arden substitute, I would LOVE to hear of it!

A nice looking, minimalist shoe that felt like it was well made. For the price it just did not fit well enough--a little tight even though I had ordered wide. I returned these, but will look at the brand again. I ended up sticking with other clogs that just fit better for work.

I so wanted to keep these clogs. I work in a hospital and I'm on my feet a lot. I have an assortent of Ariat boots for riding. They are very well made and have a consistent, comfy fit. Initially, these clogs felt very comfortable, but within a few minutes there was pressure on my outer ankle and instep - and that was just while sitting. I walked around the house and sat a while longer, and they only got worse. I didn't want to chance it.

I've worn Dansko XP clogs and wanted to try these. The Ariat held my foot closer to the clog as I think it sits higher on my ankle. Felt a bit tight across the ball of my foot. Not worth saving $24 for tighter fit.

I ordered two sizes of this shoe, one was to be the medium and one was to be wide. However, both were medium sized and therefore didn't fit. I think if I would have received the wide shoe it would have fit. I liked the looks of the shoe and with the correct size, I think the arch support would have been good.

I have an average foot, not too narrow or wide but have a large foot, size 11. Most shoes my size seem to be a little small, not this one, it was big and clunky. I considered keeping them because they’re cute but they just looked to big.

I was very disappointed in these shoes. I have worn the same style same size and width for over 10 years replacing them almost yearly and this time they were even visually smaller. At least 1/2 an inch smaller if you put them sole to sole with my previous pair. Unwearable for me.

The fit was fine at first and comfortable but as the first few hours at work they felt tighter and hurt my feet. I am highly disappointed because I am stuck with them now. It says 100% refundable but you can't wear them which I didn't read the small print. How would I know if they were going to work if I didn't wear them?? It doesn't make any since to me. I am stuck with a expensive pair of shoes that I will never wear again. I can not purchase another pair from this company because I could be in the same situation again if I give them a second chance. Very disappointed! Out of about $130 dollars.
