If the inner soul had more cushion It would raise the comfort level also if you were to add air bags on the bottom of the sneaker it would help to absorb some of the shock

the inside of the shoe under the tongue is really rough construction -- almost painful

Purchased NB 9 wide in a different style last year, made in the USA, and they fit great and are very comfortable. I was looking for a leather athletic shoe for the winter months. Ordered the 9 wide in this style and the length was fine, but the toe area really isn't wide, not even close. Very disappointed and sent them back. Seems there is no consistency in the NB shoes. Compared the 2 different styles and there is a big difference in width. Wide should be wide!

After 5 months the sole delaminated from the shoe. Another pair had the same problem after about 7 months

But they are not comfortable. They taper to the toe and are too snug for what I consider to be a true D width. They give good arch support - I just cannot wear them comfortably for more than 30-40 minutes, which isn't long enough time for my usual workouts. If I had tried these on in a shoe store, I would have passed - I guess that's the chance you take buying shoes on-line.

I have been wearing these for many many years & was very satisfied until the last ones. We saw black marks on our hardwood & bath room floors. When I stopped wearing them the black streaks stopped. Quality control?

I wore women's 608s for years and then NB apparently changed the last and they are now too narrow in the toe box. I tried many different NB styles and different brands without success. Then I thought to try the men's 608s and they are wide enough in the toe box. I'm a happy walker again.

I have been wearing a version of this sneaker for 20 years and always bought 81/2 D (med) and they have fit great. The last two pairs I purchased seem to be too short compared to the old 8 1/2Ds. Not sure If there is quality problem with manufacturing. The label on all pairs say they were made in Indonesia, but the newer pairs don't fit the same. I never really experienced "break in" issues with these sneaker in the past, with respect to sizing. When new, the sneakers are a bit stiff, but comfortable. The two newer pairs rub on my toes and are tight across the top of my foot. I lace my sneaker the same way, but something is different. I will "order up" 1/2 a size next time and try a 9 D. Maybe my feet are getting bigger with age, but my dress shoe size hasn't changed. I still think New Balance are great shoes, if the fit is correct.

I'm disappointed . Tthe sneakers are a 10 1/2 D--my usual size, and the same size as my last pair of New Balance sneakers. But this pair is really cut too wide. In order for them to fit I have to wear 2 pairs of sox. Yes, the secondary pair is very thin --very light, black business sox. But the fact is my white cotton gym sox are not thick enough for me to wear this particular par of sneakers comfortably--and in the past they always have been. I love New Balance and I love Ll:Bean, but this pair really doesnt quite make the grade. My feet havent shrunk, I'm sure--all my other shows fit the same as they always do..

Heel is sloppy and too wide. I purchase wide for my post surgery toe area but didn't expect the full shoe to be widened. New Balance's wide seems narrower than other brands' toe area width. Not sure if I am going to keep them.

I wear a 9N. I have always had luck with new balance. Unfortunately these were too wide in the toe area and will have to return them. I do like the color and material.

I love the style and the look, but I couldn't keep them on long enough to say about the comfort. I normally wear a size 9N, so knowing that sneakers run small, particularly New Balance, I ordered a full size larger, 10N, but my toes ran into the end of the shoes. Back they go. :-(

I have always wornNB shoes in a 10 1/2 EE until recently. I ordered these in 10 1/2 but they are short so am returning them say my local LL Bean store and have reordered a pair in 11 EE.

Seems NB has nearly eliminated narrow shoes. Has to take this as a constellation prize. Looks good, is comfortable, but just a bit wide for my feet. Oh well.

I bought these for my 18 year old as comfortable as they are he says he expected them to look different he says they look like old man shoes but having wide big feet you can't beat the price point it would be nice if maybe you guys modernized the outside design of the shoes big footed young men would thank you

These are nice, attractive shoes. The problem is the they seem to run large and are extremely wide. I been wearing your double E, size 9 1/2 tennis shoes for over 25 years and they've been a perfect fit. In these shoes my feet just slide around regardless of how tight I lace them, or the lacing pattern.

I have used 608 going back for decades. Previous versions had a broad spectrum of color patterns to choose from. And of course the option to purchase a wider width makes this NB model second to none. The V5 is by far the worst version of the shoe that I have tried. Not only was there such a diminished number of color options but the shoe itself was redesigned to be less-than previous versions. Especially noteworthy was the disastrous choice to change the design of the outsole from a single piece of rubber to 3 separate pieces of rubber. My experience with V5 is that the 3 separate pieces made the outsole more susceptible to pealing off of the midsole. Hope that a V6 comes out soon and New Balance restores the care and design that were present in previous versions of the shoe.

I've always used this size and this model in recent years. This pair, however squeak very loudly when I walk. It's annoying. I have no idea why it does this. They'll probably just sit in the closet.

Nice looking shoe, but very little support. Zero arch support and the heel support seems to be minimal.

The spongy feel of the insole and side support of this shoe did not work well for this gym rat. I'll go back to my old pair for training. This new shoe might be better as a casual walker.

I ordered a size 12 as my feet have expanded and my arches have fallen with age. My current shoes are a size 11 Wide and my toes are punching the ends of the 608s. I recieved them in a timely manner but when I tried them on my foot floated in them and I couldn't tie them tight enough to snug them up. I opted to return them and was disappointed to be charged $20.00 for doing so. I would not recommend buying from this sight unless you know your size.
