The most comfortable trainers I have owned. Will be using regularly at the gym.

Been buying these for years for my elderly cousin. New v5 just as good as v4 and fits the same.

They fit perfect. New Balance has always been true to size. I do think they were a bit expensive for what they are.

Purchased these to replace the MX698V4s: on both V4 & V5, fit and width (EE) were perfect. Shoes are light and very comfortable.

They are what they say they are

Extremely comfortable. The wider width allows you to use your standard length. New Balance makes a very good shoe, and the grey color looks very good even with a pair of Dockers or a pair of jeans.

Very inadequate arch support

The toe box felt too narrow. Especially the right shoe, seemed to be cut at a narrower angle.

felt tight and short

Shoes were obviously a return as sole was covered in a white substance. Kept as it was last in my size.

Very satisfied with the purchase. These shoes are well made and provide a great amount of comfort, especially the padding on the inside of the shoe. Great for walking.

Comfortable enough. In the past, these kind of NB shoes have gotten more and more comfortable with repeated wearing. I happily expect the same with these. I have bought similar shoes from NB over 10 years. The models I purchased were similar to this one but better because of their appearance. I really like wearing a comfortable, "sneaker" like shoe that does not have the colorful design that is overwhelmingly common with this kind of shoe. The laid back shoe NB used to carry could be worn hiking and with a sports coat and tie. As compared with this model, the ones I prefer have a very laid back "NB" on the shoe, darker soles and none of the bright shoelace eye loops. Please bring back the older model. Thanks.

I have bought many of these shoes over the years...latest ones feel tight...

Feels wider than other wide shoes I have bought from New Balance. Still comfortable, but I mayt have to get thicker socks to ensure a comfortable exercize walk. The quality of the shoe is great and I particularly like the leather finish, which is of high quality.

The sneaker would have been just right if the were wider. I ordered a 4E (which did come) but it was still narrow. Really like the style and color. Sorry that they felt to tight.

New Balance 608v5 11 Extra Wide: I'm a 70 year old guy discovering that foot issues are a thing as one ages. I was a huge Merrill fan (10 1/2 W) Moab and Jungle Moc for a number of years. Apparently feet can flatten and widen etc... with age and I was starting to suffer from bunions and bunionettes. (Sounds like a music group.) Went to a Merrill Moab (11 W) with thinner socks. A shoe stretcher helped a bit, but I still had problems. I recently had problems finding shoes that would give me relief. Local shoe stores do not seem to have what I needed. In the past several months I have found some slip-on Skechers in 11W and Extra Wide that have made life much better. Arch support is also an issue which I'm trying to rectify before I go to a podiatrist. Glad to see that New Balance (which I have had in the past) offers a 11-4E which I believe is as close to a solution as I can find. I have the same model in 11.5 4E on order to test out with thicker socks. Sorry if this review is long, but perhaps it may help someone with similar problems.

I had been getting the New Balance 619, but do not see it in suede any longer, the new 608 appears to be that shoe. However when I put it on the shoe, it seems heavier and the sole stiffer than my previous pair, so I clomp around more now. I still like the shoe, just not as much. Fit feels fine length and width wise.

great for older person that has poor balance. Can put my molded arch supports in them. could not put them in my nikes.
