The only downside is the flap over the zippers looks good but can make them hard to open sometimes. Very good looking backpack overall and comfortable to wear.

Niece loves it. Really practical

This is a solid backpack for an elementary schooler. Well made, will last for a while. Has a padded compartment for an iPad or slim electronic device on the inside. Comfortable. Zippers work well. Has sleeves on the side for water bottles. Two issues: 1) It is good for an elementary schooler. However, I bought this for a middle schooler based on a website that recommended this backpack for middle schoolers. If your middle school is the type that has students carry a lot of books, and/or your middle schooler is the type of student who uses a backpack as a locker, then this is too small. Note: my student's school has a Day 1 set of classes and a Day 2 set of classes such that many students use two backpacks, and this backpack was still on the small side. It is smaller than the Pottery Barn Kids backpack my student had. 2) It has a pocket, but not a lot of separators in the pocket. So, if you/your student likes to have organized compartments for different school supplies, then this might not be the best fit. The single pocket is more like the "junk drawer" approach to organization. Now, you can organize your junk pocket: Pencil case. Create different bags/cases in the pocket. Student/wife prefers organized pocket. If you find the size and the lack of organizational assistance with the Daypack to be an issue, I recommend the TNF Surge. Checked out this pack at TNF shop and it has all of those things. It might be marketed towards an older student, but if you have a middle schooler, the Surge is not bigger than your ordinary school backpack.

I originally purchased this for my son to use at school, but it's not big enough to hold all of his stuff, so I use it myself as a day pack when needed. I took it to Six Flags and it was great.

I use this backpack for school everyday and it's been great! It's really comfortable to wear which is very important to me because having scoliosis makes it painful to carry things on my back for long periods of time. I also like the fact that its super lightweight (exceptionally important for long commutes) and has a padded compartment for electronics like laptops and tablets. The water bottle compartments on the sides are really cool too because you can button them back up when you don't have anything to put in them. I do wish that the smaller zipper part on the front had some type of pocket or compartmentalization inside because all my things are just stuffed in there and it's a bit unorganized. Overall, I think it's a pretty good backpack for the price!

Great day pack for outings with my kids. I have a one year old and five year old. Holds everything we need for a trip to the park, water park, etc. More convenient than a traditional diaper bag. Dual water bottle pockets are a plus. Quick access zippered pouch for sunglasses and masks.

I use this product to take things to and from work. The straps are comfortable and everything that I needs in it fits nicely. I especially like the floral print. I can see that it may be nice if it were a bit bigger for other uses. However, for my purposes so far the size works for me.

Bought this backpack for my daughter for high school. Quality is great! Well made pack, however it is on the smaller side, which is why I rated 4 stars.

I purchased this bag for my daughter. Great quality, comfy straps. Not as roomy as we had hoped it would be, not quite large enough to add her lunch tote in with a small laptop and one notebook.

It's thinner/not as deep as I expected, but for my needs that will work fine and give a more streamlined profile. I also really like the water bottle holders on the side, because they go into the body of the bag, rather than sticking out both sides, adding bulk (we carry large water bottles with us, and we put both of them in one bag). The only drawback is that it cuts down on the amount of interior space a little.

This bag is great if you're traveling for work- however for an everyday backpack it was a little ok large for me

I use it to carry things I bring into work. I love the design and how comfortable it is without compromising style.

I love how lightweight this backpack is, and the look of it is awesome. Their are two water bottle pockets that are perfect for my drinks and other handy pockets for phone chargers etc.

I have used this backpack for taking my computer and a few notebooks to and from work, a coffee shop, and overnight. I like the pocket for my computer and it is small enough to make me be concise about what I am all packing with me. I am hoping to use it as a nice sized carry-on for future travels.

Nice but a bit small

Great for travel, weekends, trips to library

I was looking for something to use to work that didn't look like anything I already had and wasn't too large. This was perfect. It sags a little from the bottom but I only carry work files, Ipad, Laptop and misc items so perfect me. I like that legal files fit.

Good size backpack. Zipper needs some improvement.

I needed something light weight and durable that could carry my laptop and important paperwork comfortably. This fit the bill perfectly. It's not trying to be anything special. Just a solid, practical backpack. Outside of residency I want things in my life to be simple and uncomplicated. This is what I'm talking about North Face. Look no further than this awesome backpack.

I wear this to work everyday and it has been amazing.
