For the price you pay, it blows my mind that they would not include a bite valve cover that they sell separately. I bought this pack and a hydration pack for my son, and the fact that birth did not come with a valve cover was the worst and good luck trying to find one in stock. Not sure why a company that does so much R&D and charges so much money would not take a 10 cent loss from their profit margins to ensure a great product rather than try and sell it extra. I get there are other parts they sell extra and I understand that because it's not a necessity, but this truly is as the valve was going in my arm pit and then I'm supposed to drink out of it. And for my son I kept having to tell him not be mindful and not put the bag on the floor or anywhere else as to not dirty the valve. Something so simple and so cheap, shame on you greedy corporations.

This a nice pack out of the box. To make it a great pack, you need to purchase the Osprey quick disconnect kit for an additional $12. I knocked off one star for this (though it is not the packs fault). Listen up Osprey, include the quick disconnect to the bladder and make this a great pack.

Pac gets used several times a week. The pack is versatile enough for both for trail running and day long mountain bike tracks. A design improvement would be to add 2" in. of depth to the pack; when full, the water bladder fills the majority of the pack leaving little room for a few other essentials.

Needed to replace my old Mountain Biking Hydration pack. Didn't want anything too bulky, but wanted something with storage that works. Should have trusted my instinct that those compression straps that connect PAST the zippered section would be a PITA -- they are: if you want to get in the zipper compartment, you have to unclick the strap which means anything you have stuffed in the outer stuff pocket falls out. No easy in, easy out possible.

Osprey has really messed up their design on many bags. In order to open the main compartment, you have to unclip both sides of the outer "expandable" pocket. If they had just stitched it to the outer part of the zipper, it would have made so much more sense.
