I purchased this shoe for my son for Christmas because the shoe he really likes was not available. He has worn the Hush Puppy Leverage for several years and has been so pleased with the comfort, style, fit, and durability. This shoe, though not as stylish, had all the features he wanted-leather, waterproof and slip proof. However, after one day of wearing he had sizable blisters on his heels due to the design of the back of the shoe.

The width was too narrow, too long and very uncomfortable. The older Durham's from five years ago, fit my son like a glove. Same size (13 6E), but not a single shoe has fit him since. There is no longer consistency in the manufacturing of their shoes. No matter what Durham shoe we get, the fit is all over the place.

Just a very poor shoe on every level and how much did I pay for this? It is far too small for being a 6e. Stitching is awkward looking and the leather is very poor. In fact, shining the shoe does not look like the other shoe when done?? Very hard to get on and yet somehow once it's on it doesn't hold your feet well. Add to all that what a boring style!

They are plastic, not leather.
