I'm a heavy equipment mechanic working on cranes a lot. My job requires a ton of walking on mainly concrete and asphalt all day. I broke these boots in and so far my only complaint os after about 8 hours they start to rub my ankles weird and becomes very uncomfortable. This occurs regardless of how loose or tight the laces are. Other than that they are extremely lightweight and decently comfortable. My feet do not hurt after walking about 8 miles.

The fit was fine and usual for a work shoe, however, it was not comfortable and I would never be able to use it at work walking the miles we do. I would not really be comfortable with extra socks as a mild snow day shoe. It was just not comfortable. Thank you

I usually wear the Helix 6" work boot. They are much more comfortable than these boots.

I own another pair like these with blue trim and really liked those so much that I ordered these, in grey, so as to have two pairs. However, things did not work out so well. For some strange reason the left boot of the first pair, for some strange reason, hurt my left foot as though it was being crushed! Zappos replaced those with another pair that seemed to be excellent at first. However, a hidden seam, just above the heel, in each boot was present and rubbed my achille's tendon on both feet very sharply causing blisters. I have used large bandages to protect against that in hope the boot would break in somehow. That hasn't happened so far. I'm not sure I'll order another pair considering that I have had two bad experiences in a row despite the fact they are identical, except for trim color, to a pair with which I am really happy.

The inside of the left boot where the composite toe starts became lose within one day of use, and now digs into my toes when I walk.

Very uncomfortable, no cushioning insole, wore for 3 hours and feet started to hurt on the bottom. I had some Tinberland Pro brand that were very cushioned and comfortable for an entire shift before, they dropped the ball on these, returned and will be searching for a new pair!
