These are great shoes. I have them in the tan, but did not like the way they looked on my feet in the black.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

These shoes are beautiful leather and were comfy except the strap by my outside ankle rubbed so I knew that would cause a blister. Too bad I had to send back.

I wanted to love them but they were far too big

I wear a 7 or 7.5 medium width in shoes and sandals. I ordered these in black in size 38. The length was perfect and I liked how they looked. Unfortunately, the straps were way too loose, especially the crisscross one. A smaller size wouldn't have worked because they would have been too short. I returned them because my foot flopped in them and I thought the leather straps would just stretch with time, making the sandals even more uncomfortable to wear.

I think the shoe is really nice. Unfortunately it is way too short and I have to send them back. My toes actually hung over. Too bad.

The Pikolinos Algar sandal is the perfect style for my needs, however the sizing is very difficult to work with. I usually wear a 9.0 W or an 8.5 WW, so I ordered the size indicated as 9.5-10, which arrives in a Pikolinos shoe box marked size 40. Very confusing. Anyway, those shoes just fit my foot, but do not allow room for my prescription orthotic inserts. They were comfortable without the orthotics, but that goes against doctors recommendations. So, I ordered the next size up, indicated as 10 - 11, which arrives in a Pikolinos box marked size 41. This shoe allows room for my orthotic insert, and is roomy enough, but is sadly a little too big as it slips at the heel as I walk around the house in it. I will most likely return both pairs and move on with my search. The price point of these shoes is too high to keep something that I can't wear consistently, no matter how much I like them. I do like the style and quality very much and recommend them to others IF they fit.

Love the style of this shoe and the quality construction and materials. The Fit is Alot smaller than advertised. I ordered what they estimated would fit a woman's size 9.5 -10, and to me it feels like an 8.5 W. The box is labeled as European size 40. It perfectly fits my barefoot, and is comfortable, however I may return it as I need to be able to wear my prescription orthotic insert, and for that I usually need a size 9.0 W. I don't believe that this size 40 shoe would fit a woman who truly needed a shoe size 9.5 -10. The problem is all in the sizing, not in the actual shoe itself.

Love the look of these sandals but I couldn't even get my foot into them. Velcro would've been a nice option but they only have a stretch band attached to the leather. The leather is beautiful and soft. Alas, they don't have my next size up!

Loved the look of these shoes! Put impossible to get on. No buckles no Velcro just slide your foot in and that was impossible!!! So I returned.

The black color for this style doesn't suit me.

These are cute but small overall and I think they run narrow. In general, I’m not sure why Zappos equates a Euro size 42 to a size 12. I consistently wear a size 12, but a size 42 hardly ever works for me, as was the case with these. I suggest you size up in these or get a wide if you normally wear a regular width. They looked good but were so small I couldn’t even get my feet in to see how they might look on.

These shoes are beautiful and I love them, but the stitching on the inside of the shoe is terrible, and rubs the inside of my ankle. I'll never be able to wear them.

Over the past ten years I’ve only found two pairs of Pikolinos that fit. It think it’s the Euro size combos that don’t work for me. They were lovely sandals, tho, and I wish they’d fit.

Love the shoe however too narrow for my wide foot. Going to try something else.

These shoes are adorable and I know they would be comfortable because Pikolinos are my favorite brand. I should have heeded the comments from other reviews about how big the straps are across the top of the foot -- like maybe they would be okay on a wide foot with a high instep. They are so darn cute, but back they go.

So sad to have to return these. Beautiful sandal. The footbed is a 7M but the upper sole feels like it should fit a Wide. Since there’s no way to adjust the straps the sandals feel sloppy on my feet.

Loved the shoes. Good quality and the color was perfect. But the top, criss-crossed straps were extremely loose. They have to go back. Require a high instep for this style to work.

So disappointed that these shoes don't fit...love the brand...sometime their shoes fit perfectly and other times, well, I just wonder who sizes the shoes.

I couldn't get my foot into the tight footbed

I cannot tell how this shoe fits because I couldn't even get my foot in it. I wear a medium-width shoe but these just did not work for me. This is a very cute shoe however but unfortunately, it is going back for a refund.

I was disappointed these ahoes are cut short.

These would be great on the right feet. My feet are just narrow and thin, so the straps come up too high and look weird. My foot is too loose in them, like floating around. Need more tightness, support.

I am wondering why there are so many reviews that say the straps are too loose that have been given 5 stars???
