This was my first ever Asics Gel-Venture 7 purchase. I decided to buy this particular model to see how they fit, size and comfort. I am very happy that it was a true size. all of my toes have plenty of room and my heels are cushioned correctly. Being an athlete for many years i did take care of my feet and always protected them by wearing good fitting shoes. Now at my mid 60's I continue to be active and happy that these Asics feel like gloves on my feet. I live in the mountains about 4200 Ft elevation and my past time is walking, but I want to try jogging on grass to work out. Hopefully my Asics will help me enjoy doing these two things.

Fits very well, I have a wide foot and usually buy 7.5 but a previous ASICS pair seemed too tight so I bought 8 this time. I ran on the street for 4 miles, after rain too, the shoes felt stable, provided needed arch support. I also use them for Cross Fit sessions, very stable.

I am thrilled with these shows. I have fussy feet and have a history of trying on many shoes before I find a good fit. Since I have had good luck with Asics in the past, I tried these and am very happy with the fit and comfort.

Fit well and this is a light weight shoe compared to my Moab 2 Vent. Existing insole is glued to shoe but I was able to remove it to insert orthotic. Shoe was much more comfortable with the insole removed.

I have a wide foot and these shoes fit great. I have ordered this shoe for the past couple years and they never disappoint. I wear them for walking and to the gym.

The fit was perfect. They are super comfortable and didn’t even require a breaking in period like so many of the shoes I try.

Little nervous buying shoes on line as my older feet are not as easy to fit as they were when I was young. First time out took a rugged 3 mile hike, up and down, rocky surfaces, lots of roots, you name it. My feet did not hurt at all. Next day took a long road walk, ponding the pavement for 4 miles. My feet, my knees and back were all pain free. I love the laces and the whole shoe. I now feel confident enough to buy a second pair of shoes. I am hoping some of the more fun colors will soon be back in stock.

I don't write many reviews, but after an endless search for great walking shoes, I think I've found my favorites, and it's only fair to share! Unless I'm hiking (when I wear my hiking shoes), I've been wearing running shoes for walking for many years; however, as a previous runner, those shoes are NOT made for walking. That's probably why they're called "running" shoes. I walk several times a week for between 4 and 7 miles and have had multiple issues in running shoes with cramped toes, as well as knee and back issues. The Asics Gel-Venture 7 truly has made a huge difference for me, and I've had none of those issues! since I started wearing them! I did order them (as I always have with my athletic shoes) a half-size large than my regular shoes (7 instead of 6.5 medium for me), AND I actually tried the 7-wide, instead of the medium width I've ordered with athletic shoes in the past. The extra width makes a huge difference, and with the right lacing-up, they're not too wide at all! A plus is that these Asics walking shoes are actually stylish, whereas most walking shoes look like "old-lady" shoes (okay, I'm 67, but no woman at any age wants to wear old-lady shoes). Highly recommend these for walking. Great price, too! (Love Zappos, too.:))

I like this shoe! I’ve been wearing it on the trail and pavement. I feel support around the ankle. The shoe laces are short and hard to tighten but they don’t untie during use. It’s not the prettiest color or style but I look forward to buying more Venture styles. I have a wide foot and typically wear a size 7 1/2-8 but I went up to size to 8 1/2 for the toe room and 7 mile+ walks stretching.

I like the shoes very much fit and width true to size. I would like better arch support but they’re hard to find. The price was great. I order all my shoes from Zappos because I wear a 10.5 or 11. Best service ever!

Perfect fit, very comfortable, felt great from the first step, like I could wear them all day. Styling isn't the best, but, hey they're running shoes!

These are great sneakers. I'm replacing an older pair of Asics and these have great support. Very comfy and I love the bright pink sole - fun pop of color.
