I bought these shoes in Wide width specifically to use my custom orthotics for plantar fasciitis/heel spur on my right foot. The orthotics fit perfectly in this shoe (after I took out the insole that comes with the shoe). They are not as “squishy” comfortable as my Brooks but they do a much better job of supporting my foot with the orthotics inside since they are Wide width. I’m also in an ankle brace right now and the shoes accommodate it nicely as well.

These shoes fit perfectly and provide much needed support. I have weak ankles and this is my go-to brand. They're super comfy and last for years. I'm on my second pair. Love them!

After bunion surgery I can see why my orthopedic surgeon recommended that I buy a pair of gel ASICS! While they are *slightly* narrower than I expected for a wide width, their support hits in exactly the right places. I'm very pleased.

Two issues -- they run at least a half size too small. I usually wear a 8 1/2 and with these my toes were at the very end. I ordered the wide so as to have a bit more room, but these were the same as the medium width shoes I have.

Ordered a 8 W and they were smaller and narrower than expected. Returning them.

Shoes fit very comfortably. I walk long distances and they were perfect.

Love these shoes. They fit my somewhat narrow foot perfect. I liked them so well that I just ordered another color.

Purchased this shoe for my mom who has a hard time finding shoes that provide the adequate support she needs. Right of the bat she was in love with these shoes. ASICS are a trusted and preferred brand of hers and this particular model was more comfortable and fitting to her needs than other more expensive models she has purchased in the past. Price doesnt always equal quality.

These were replacements for an older version of the shoe I had and they fit exactly like the earlier version.

I'm very happy with my purchase! I was looking for lightweight trail running shoes. I wear a size 9.5, i always have a hard time finding shoes that don't look like a boat in my size. They look amazing on!! Super comfortable, lightweight, and didn't have to break in. Walked 5 miles my first time, and my feet feel great!

Excellent walking shoe. Rigid sole perfect for walking. Zappos recommendation for 1/2 size larger accurate!

This is the first time buying Asics, and I definitely would recommend. Shoes are very comfortable they have good support and feel good on. I also like the way they look. Zappos provided fast shipping.

I’m a big ASICS fan and this new pair did not disappoint. Love how cushiony they feel when they’re brand new. Color is perfect too.

Wish the toe box wasn't so narrow. My toes rub agains the top and sides. They felt true to size, have very comfortable cushioning and good arch support. I hate having to return them.

This is my 3rd pair of Asics, and although I like the look of these Gel Venture 7's alot (slightly more tapered toe area but still roomy, grey sole to go along with black upper) they seem to be lacking the cushioning of the other pairs. This summer I got Gel Contend 6 which have a nice cushioned footbed. The Gel Venture feels very stiff when you walk, there is no 'give' for your toes or heels to sink into. I've worn them for a few 3+ mile walks and my feet have been fine, but it would be nicer if there was a little 'spring to the steps'. Also there is not as much cushioning around the top/back of the heel as in the older Asics. I hope they are not cheapening the brand. I'd rather pay more and have all the needed elements there to make for a comfortable sneaker. The fit seems true to size and if anything a tiny roomy so you can use them in winter with thicker socks, or I suppose I could put in an insert for more cushioning. But sadly I think I might have to explore other brands besides Asics if this is a permanent change.

Not as soft and squishy as I was hoping for.

Loved the look and style of these shoes. Width fine for my rather narrow feet, yet a tiny bit too short. Really crowded my toes, so sadly I must return and Zappos doesn’t have a 9.5 in this style. I am forced to look elsewhere. I love Zappos as they are always the best online shoe site ever! I love you guys. Please stay safe!

I ordered these in wide but they felt narrow. In fact my daughter has narrow feet and they fit her perfect. I gave them to her.

Felt tight on my feet, and honestly not high enough at the laces for my foot.

I have plantar fasciitis and high arches, so I'm super picky about my athletic shoes. I typically walk more than four miles, every day, so I need something that will hold up and keep my feet feeling supported. My current shoe, which needs replacing, is the Vionic Satima, but at $139 they're a hard pill to swallow. I was hoping to find something less expensive with the same type of firm, highly-arched insole. Unfortunately, the ASICS Gel-Venture 7 was not it. I could have put in a pair of Vionic insoles, but that would increase the cost of the shoes, reducing the savings I was hoping to achieve. Ultimately, I decided to bite the bullet and get another pair of the Satimas. They have the firm high-arch support I need, right out of the box, without needing to buy anything extra.

These shoes are cosmetically appealing and, as other reviews have noted, not as brightly colored as they appear (I got blue). Unfortunately on a short walk around my office, they chafed on the outside of my midfoot, below my little toe. I do not have wide feet. I bought these to wear hiking in Acadia National Park & I can't wear anything that will rub. So, back they go!

Toe box way to small. I really wanted to love this but it was way to narrow for a wide fit

I ordered this shoe in my normal size and it was so small I ordered 1/2 size up. I wore them and wore them but felt zero (or less than zero if that's possible) support that resulted in horrible lower back pain. The red color is awesome and I love the look of the shoe, but for me, it didn't work.

This was to be a replacement for GEL-Venture 6 I thought. It runs considerably smaller in length and width and the toe box is quite a bit narrower with a more pointed toe that the 6. It did not work for me which is too bad because I loved the GEL-Venture 6 which is no longer available
