The Mephisto Twain deserves very high recommendation. Extremely comfortable right out of the box. Love the look for either casual with jeans or with dressier slacks & jacket (business casual, etc.) Great for the office. Stylish with a terrific looking sole and nice, masculine lines. They get better every day! These shoes feel totally true to size. No squeaking.

Love Mephisto brand due to quality, feel and durability. Excellent thus far.

Although the shoe fit fine in my size, it felt a little better a half size smaller. This may be because it is a loafer style shoe. The leather is soft and comfortable and the sole provides a comfortable cushion when walking.

I returned these shoes because they look like cheap plastic shoes. They felt great and fit great, I just didn’t like the appearance

My size 13 shoes were lose on my feet. I added heel pads to improve the situation. Size 12.5 was not available

Mephistopheles always comes through with a good shoe and a fit you can count on.

My husband wears US size 8. These shoes in size 41 were good in length but were too narrow for him to feel comfortable. The design and color are great, and the shoes are light as feather. So unfortunate they are not available in wide.

Do not want to take them off.........so comfortable

Mephisto is my brand of preference for over 20 years. Lightweight, comfortable, great support, usually true to size. My feet are "wide", yet medium width works well after a short break-in. They are very durable too. One can walk the whole day in them. Never any foot pain anywhere. Highly recommend this brand and this model, which is my first pair of Twain.

The shoe felt true to size in length, but unfortunately it was wider than a medium. I do wish that the shoe did fit better, because I do like the quality in the style of the shoe.

I was attracted to this shoe because of it's look on my computer screen. So, I ordered them and just about everything was perfect, except for the shiny finish of the uppers. Scuffs showed up immediately and even though I babied the shoe, I couldn't be a slave to removing scuff marks. If the shoe was made in a textured leather it might mitigate this issue.

Super comfortable compared to my expensive Italian, Swiss made shoes.

Too BIG , too Wide

I really wanted to like them. They look great. But there seems to be no consistency in size and fit with Mephisto. I wear 11-11.5 and only mephisto size 10 fit me. But that too was loose with the right ankle MUCH looser than the left. I’ve tried several Mephistos before and always have to send back immediately because of some “weird” inconsistency that I don’t find with the other regular brands I wear.
