Alas, in my case, the shoe just doesn't fit. I started with a 39 in black leather and found it significantly too big for my feet, although I'm a pretty standard size 8 in most brands. But the shoe is really good looking so I ordered a 38 to try. That one was just too small. I needed something in between. Too bad because I liked the look of the sneaker a lot but both pairs went back.

I have problem feet. Bunions and arthritis and just pain. I have a lot of trouble finding shoes that are cute and that are comfy. These shoes are comfy right out of the box! Unfortunately, the chemical smell is unbearable! I've been leaving them out on my covered porch for weeks, hoping the smell will dissipate. I still haven't been able to wear them. I'm going to give them one more week to see whether I can keep them or whether they will have to go back. Sigh.

Nice looking shoe initially but quality, comfort, fit didn't seem to be as good as other Joseph Seibel shoes I've purchased. I have a slightly wider foot and this shoe was way too wide. It felt squishy when walking, maybe due to the softer leather and construction of the style, but not a keeper. Was trying for a pair similar to my Dany 59 shoes which are no longer offered. The Dany 59 was a jump in and go shoe. So comfortable, stable and well constructed. They were made in Bulgaria, this shoe is made in China..? Will keep trying.

Wanted to love theses, and I've owned other Josef Seibel sneakers before. These were too big (size 5) and very stiff. They were well crafted, nice leather. They looked great, a little nicer than regular tennis shoes. Sorry they did not fit!!

I love the look of these but they did hurt my feet after wearing for a bit. Had to send them back. Hated that they didn't work out.

I recently purchased another pair of Josef Seibel shoes- the Claire- in the same size of 38. Those fit me perfectly so I was excited to order another pair. However, the Caren was smaller length wise and than the Claire. It also felt narrower where it rubbed on my bunion. That wasn't the case with the Claire. I liked the look of the shoe and but disappointed by the discrepancy in sizes and fit, so I returned them.

I really wanted to like these shoes. So cute. But for me, not enough metatarsal cushioning or arch support to do a good deal of walking. A bit narrow for my foot, as I am a bit more wide than not.

The finish started coming off a week after I purchased the shoe. Beautiful shoe otherwise.

Very comfortable but the platinum finish has begun to quickly flake off after only 2 weeks of wear which is extremely disappointing. If not for that would have given 5 stars across the board.

Attractive shoe but like some other Joseph Seibel lace ups I've tried, there is just too much to the upper, the eyelets and the tongue anatomy...and would be uncomfortable if worn for very long.

I've owned 5 pairs of Caspian and loved each and every pair, the Caren is a bit large on my foot, therefore not as comfortable. I wore one pair of Caspian on a 2 week trip to Europe, comfy every single day. Please bring back Caspian style.

This shoe is so stiff and uncomfortable

Color was cream not a true white. Sizing also felt a little big to me (6.5/36) off, but I did not wear them at all. Tried on for it and returned.

I wanted to love these shoes and wear them on a trip to Europe this summer. They look cute and not clunky. They felt a bit short lengthwise and felt too narrow. The soles were very thin and hard - I felt like I was walking barefoot without support or cushion. There was no arch support; this would have caused my plantarfasciitis to flare up. The left shoe dug into the back of my heel and the right shoe slide up/down on the back of my heel.

Shoes are *not* sturdy or well-made. I did a lot of city-walking on dry sidewalks on a recent trip and new shoes are coming apart after 6 days! Leather shoe is separating from rubber sole - i hope that shoe repair store can fix them or I've wasted $130. They are nice-looking and very comfortable BUT beware of quality problems. I expected much better from this brand and price-point.

Nice shoes, but the sole cracked (3 inch long crack) after a week of wear.

The red ones are SO BEAUTIFUL and so enormous. I am returning, alas.
