The shoe is soft with great arch support. The problem is with the adjustable flap. The bottom part of the flap should cover the foot, instead it only covers about a quarter which means that the part that comes in contact with your foot is at two levels which could cause irritation. If you wear socks it wouldn't be a problem but most people don't.
These run large, I wear a men's 9.5 shoe and the 8 fit me best

The only thing I could wear, while I was healing, diabetic ulcer on my foot. The sandal has no ridge on the back, so it was the best thing for my lengthy healing.
