I bought them because they offered them in Wide. The shoes are not wide

This is the third pair I've had of these shoes, so I speak from previous experience. The last two pairs I've had of these shoes were AMAZING, literally the most comfortable shoes I've ever put on my feet. This, by comparison, are the biggest disappointment I've spent money on in years. What made the previous shoes so perfect was their beautifully soft high-quality leather, right from the start they were buttery soft, no break-in period needed. These, on the other hand, have all the softness of painted cardboard, the dye used on the leather is obviously not as good a quality (it's already beginning to crack and break after only 1 day of wear). I own over 30 pairs of Sperrys, and this is by FAR the worst pair I've bought. They're stiff, unyielding, for the price this is absolutely unforgiveable. I'm absolutely crushed. I expected better from you, Sperry.

While they look nice, the leather will not last. I'd worn only about a dozen times and stored in the box when not in use. Even limited use cannot save what should have been a very long term investment for the price.

I got these about a month or so ago, have worn them about 10/15 times. I've worn Gold Cup Sperrys for years, this is the first pair of drivers I've ever had. These are one of the most comfortable, best looking shoes I've owned. The problem is the TOE!!! I had previously seen reviews about the toe not being protected by rubber so that wears down, I decided to go for it, even took it to a few places for a solution but not much I can do. It is excruciating and I look at the toes all the time, watch it slowly deteriorate. If Sperry fixes this issue this would be one of favorite shoes in the world.

Bought these right before covid hit, so did not wear them regularly until recently. Wore them to the office most days for about the last 2 months and this is the result. Not sure what the material is made of but it is not very durable. Thought paying the higher price for the gold cup would be better quality. I was wrong. Have worn many other pairs of the boat shoes for years and those have lasted way longer. Needless to say, not very happy with the quality of the product for the price point.
