My podiatrist prescribes these. He buys every similar shoe including all the expensive New Balance and their competitors to test-drive himself; for fallen arches, flat feet, and other foot issues, he prescribes 990's exclusively. They cannot be beat. It's all I wear until they wear holes in the top toe box, then go on Zappos and order two more pairs (one for indoors, one for outdoors). Fashionistas poo-poo the brand; they delude themselves. New Balance isn't cool? Made in the USA, best functional footwear you can get. I walk in them, run in them, live in them.

Made in the USA is important as is consistent quality. I have bought the same style show for over 20 years and have never experienced a problem. For fit and wearability these New Balance have few equals, if any.

Thanks to New Balance for marketing a true extra narrow sneaker (size AA). These are the only sneakers I have found that actually fit my narrow foot.

these are great! quality of materials is awesome, they look good and are probably the most comfortable every day pair of shoes i own. Price tag is steep but if you can it is definitely worth every cent. if you don't mind a bit of a looser fit go true to size. if you want more snug go a half size down.

Always been a fan of New Balance since late 1986, my Mom buying my first pair of 990's. When I was in Middle School, the all day comfort plus performance to wear throughout the years are by the greatest pair of sneakers that I can wear. The sneaker works better as it ages from normal wear. That says a lot for New Balance versus it's competitors. The 990v5 continues on a tradition for excellence in style, performance and comfort that I will continue to buy not only for myself but my Children as well. Even convinced my Father in Law to buy a pair and he enjoys them. I love to go to the NB store in Carle Place,NY cause they have Professionals who will give you a full measurement of your feet with the technology they have at the Store.

I wear a size 15 B which makes finding decent shoes a choir. These shoes fit great. My brother always raved about New Balance but I never looked into them even when I worked in New England and would stop at their stores at the headquarters in Lawrence, MA. I will definitely be getting another pair of these shoes in the future.

These are insanely comfortable shoes. I ordered my regular size but forgot that I take a half-size smaller in New Balances. Unfortunately my right size wasn't available in my width so I had to send them back for a refund. But I still strongly recommend them for their unparalleled comfort, if your size is available.

great shoes. they are my go to for long walking. I have foot pain , plantar fascia, and these are really the only shoes, other then eccos for dress up, that I wear. probably my 10th pair of 990's over several years. Hope NB doesn't drop or ruin this product.

This pair are fine no noise the last pair I bought from you had a loud squeak in the right shoe god knows why. Was hesitant to buy another pair apparently an assembly problem. They are now work shoes where the noise doesn’t matter.

Exercise, casual wear. I buy New Balance for the quality, feel and MADE IN AMERICA.. I have owned over 30 pairs of these shoes and will buy from them as long as they do not become a WOKE company like Nike. I have thrown everything I had Nike out including over 100 golf balls, hats and shirts.
I suggest New Balance consider this when deciding on selling product and being a company or trying to get involved in the social corruption.
