hope does not occur mid sole foam deterioration as my 2040 model.

This shoe is obviously well made and it fits well and has support and comfort that you would expect. The design seems to be a tiny bit longer than other models I have from NB, but not enough to complain about. Other than that they fit great

Comfortable, attractive, true to size and width. Everything I want and need in a shoe.

I use this shoe for everything. I'm on my feet all the time. However, I originally purchased a standard width shoe and had to exchange for a narrow because my feet felt like they were sliding all over the inside of the shoe. Now they're just right.

I've been wearing NB 990s for well over a decade. Durable and comfortable, they're perfectly suited for jogging and walking on a daily basis. The 990v5 pair I got recently seemed a bit stiff out of the box--more so than the v4s I've worn for years. I wore the new pair around the house for a couple of days, and now that I've started jogging in them, they feel absolutely great. Kudos to NB for the latest version of a great shoe!

I went to undergrad at Howard and had my eyes open to the classic New Balance 900 series. Started with 993s and now the 990s. Classic comfort and a great conversation piece when I talk to native Washingtonians.

I'm so grateful that New Balance makes this comfortable, good-looking shoe in a narrow width. It is very hard to find narrow widths!

I am hard to fit.. I wear a 14 narrow and I have had every version and color of this shoe. It's great.

I only purchase new balance shoes for myself and family. Quality and comfort are very important to me. Please never stop making these shoes.

Extremely comfortable sneaker you can wear all day

These are one of the few pairs of shoe my husband can wear with his plantar fasciitis problem. He has worn this style for over 10 years.

No more adidas boost or nike air sneakers for me! This is by far the most comfortable sneaker and you don't need to break it in. It's comfortable from the first time you put your feet in them. I have wide feet and the 4E option fits me just right instead of having to go up half or a full size sneaker in other brands.

These 990s are outstanding. The most comfortable shoes I own.

These are the best sneakers you will own. The handmade quality is second to none. Made in the USA! I hope New Balance and Bean do another collab and make a fire shoe. They are a little narrow this iteration, so I went a little wider. The blue are my fav. They feel so comfortable and great impact protection. Cop them!

Amazing quality. The hand-made in the USA makes all the difference. You will not find this quality in any other sneaker brand. Worth the money 10 times over.

I was a little apprehensive about spending this much on sneakers. But I have to say it was so worth it! The shoes are super comfortable! I ordered a half size bigger in the wide and they fit perfectly. Highly recommend!!!

Yeah the US made 990's are expensive, but if you have narrow feet this is the only way to go. I can't find AA's anywhere else.

I liked the shoes so much I ordered a second pair in a different color. What more needs to be said?
