Usually 7.5. 7 was perfect. I have a bunion and these shoes do a great job of hiding it while still being comfortable. On first wearing, I had Day From Hell at airport, missing flights, walking untold miles trying to reschedule. Had no chance to change shoes. Amazingly my feet were fine! Good stability, nice heel, fashionable. I got the oyster/brown. I’ll also get the metallic.

I just received these shoes... The leather is very soft so I know these will stretch out over time. I typically wear an 11W, but these are 11M. The right foot feels perfect, left foot is slightly snug (but not terrible). The foot bed is so comfortable and soft. There is little arch support... I also own the Sofft Innes in a couple colors. The leather did give and I only needed an 11M in the Innes as well. Sofft Vara is similar to Innes but slightly higher heel and softer foot bed. I agree with other reviews that I wish it had a little more toe coverage but It's fine... I'm looking forward to wearing these!

When I first tried these on, I had concerns about the position of the buckle because it hit right on my ankle bone and I thought it would rub after wearing for a long period of time. The first time I wore them was for about 5 hours and they didn't rub at all and they were very comfortable so I was pleasantly surprised. Also, I have very high arches and I usually find that the top straps on these type of shoes are too tight but these were very comfortable as well. Love these shoes!

These shoes are stylish (rose gold), the leather is soft, and the buckle/hardware is of good quality. The sole is anti-slip and the heel is a good height for walking all day. I'm very happy with these.

Beautiful shoe, perfectly comfortable no rubbing by straps or buckle. The footbed is super cushy and I like the darker color, won’t show dirt. I sized down a half size from my normal and these fit perfectly, leather stretches and conforms to your foot first wear. Looks beautiful on. This will be my go to summer shoe. Great for walking.

Sofft is my go-to for comfortable shoes that are not dated looking. They keep up with fashion yet make it comfortable enough for older women ( I'm 61 ) to enjoy without feeling like your wearing your grandmothers orthapedic shoes. I have a neuroma in my left foot so finding ANYTHING besides a sneaker comfortable is a challenge. This was the closet I found, howeve I did add a small cushion pad on the inside ball of the left sandal in order to make them completely comfortable for that foot. If you have normal feet, just enjoy them!! They go with jeans, sundress, casual dresses, capris or shorts. Perfect for spring and summer in New York.

I wanted to love this shoe, but my foot slipped forward. There wasn't enough of an adjustment to make it more snug.

The Sofft Vara lives up to its cushy name. The sole has a bit of cushion that hides nicely under your foot. The leather is supple and fit well around my foot. I was a bit concerned that it might ride up and rub my ankle but after wearing it for a few hours I realized that it fits like a dream. I showed this pair and another style to my husband who said "buy the Vara, it's more stylish." And there you have it, stylish comfort!

A really nice snug fit - not tight, just perfect. I'm wearing them for the first time today. I was a little worried that the buckle strap would rub my ankle bone, but I've had no trouble. Very comfortable, good stability. I might buy a pair in another color if I can come up with a good excuse.

Good choice for spring. I had a pair of Sofft sandals last summer, wore them all season. I took my new Vara sandals to a shoe shop to add one eyelet to the strap, so they fasten a little more snugly around my ankle. Pretty; I like the heel height, not too high--I'm tall, and prefer lower heel for casual wear. Good with skirts, cropped length pants, slacks or jeans.

My daughter ordered these to wear to a wedding and to use as her dressy sandals. We initially order her usual size of 7 but it was too large. The 6.5 fit perfectly and she couldn't be happier with the style and comfort.

I love these sandals! It is so hard to find something that's both comfortable and stylish, and these fit the bill. I read some reviews about the buckle hitting people's ankle bone and making them too uncomfortable to wear, so I was worried about this. I have thin ankles, but I found that if I set the buckle to the loosest hole, it is comfortable, and doesn't put any pressure on my ankle bone. For someone with thicker ankles, though, this might be a problem. I got them in the oyster color, which is a rich brown that I like very much. The color is a little mottled or irregular in some places, which I wondered about at first, but I don't think it really shows. The leather is soft and beautiful. The footbed is super-comfortable. I wore them all day straight out of the box with no problems at all. I'm going to be wearing these all summer long!

I have the world's fussiest feet and these were perfect just out of the box. I wear an 8.5 in running and hiking shoes, and Zappos recommended I get an 8 in this. I also have wide feet, so didn't expect them to fit at all when they arrived - seemed narrow and small. But they fit like a glove! Super comfy foot bed and leather. I haven't worn these outside the house yet so can't speak to durability, but they seem like a keeper! Really stylish too.

These sandals are very comfortable, right out of the box. They have great cushioning and the style is very classy. I bought the metallic and the leather is soft and comfy. The buckle does not irritate the ankle, which was a concern for me. I love them!

I may try a half size smaller bc I have a thin ankle and the strap doesn’t fit. I need to make another hole. But before I do that and destroy the look, I’m going to try a smaller size. It’s comfy and I needed it for walking in Europe. I wanted limited luggage so that’s go casual and with a dress or skirt too.

I really wanted these shoes to work, I've had other Sofft shoes and I love them. The style and look were great, but unfortunately the buckle on the strap hit right on my ankle bone, making them extremely uncomfortable. So had to send them back.

I have another pair of Sofft sandals and love them so I tried this pair. I had to return them because of the shape of the toe; they were too pointed for my foot shape and left about 3/4" of 'extra shoe'. If you have pointed toes, these will work well for you. If you typically have a rounded toe or almond shape shoe this may not be the best match for you.

The shoe is well made; it fit well. The style was not becoming on my foot. The straps were wider than other styles from Sofft and the buckle is in a spot that will likely rub up against my ankle bone. I have another style on order and will compare them. I might keep the Vera - we will see!

Received these today. The great reviews for this sandal are not overly exaggerated. The are every bit as soft and comfortable as everyone stated. I usually end up having to order shoes in a wide width, especially dress shoes, but these fit perfect. And to top it off, can't beat the style. Totally recommend!

Wide foot love!! I have a wide foot and I usually wear an 81/2 or 9. I ordered a 9 in these and they fit great and were very comfortable right out of the box. They also make my wide feet look like cute shapely feet which almost never happens, so thrilled!! with these shoes

These sandals fit perfectly right out of the box. The leather is super soft and the wedge is small enough, I will be able to walk in them all day. Great for dressing up or down. I wish they were slip-ons with a stretchy back instead of a buckle, but other than that it's a win.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. No break in time. The leather is so soft and supple, although a little snug around big toe it didn’t cause any problems with blisters. Very nice shoe.

Love the style and the quality of the leather linings. Comfortable immediately. Great with jeans, leggings, dresses, or skirts.

I loved this shoe - so cute, with butter soft leather and a comfy strap at the heel which can hide rough heels on the days you miss your pedi. The problem is my right foot. The strap cuts too close to the upper small toe. After walking the carpet a while, a red mark appeared where the strap is located. I am worried my small toe will fall out or the strap will cut into the top of the toe making walking and wearing the shoe uncomfortable. I decided to return it, reluctantly.

Will be another great pair of summer sandals from Sofft!
