My flat feet have been giving me more and more trouble as I get older. I’ve been wearing custom orthotics in most shoes, but that is hard to do with sandals. I needed a sport sandal that could take me around for the summer, including amusement parks for spring break. These fit the bill. They provide excellent arch support, have nice adjustability to customize the fit and adjust when your feet invariably swell, and have a sueded footbed that is really comfortable. And they are pretty stylish for a sport sandal - because let’s face it a lot of those are just hideous. If you need lots of arch support and are looking for a sport sandal, give these a try. Quality shoe, worth the investment.

I loved the look of this shoe and was so hopeful it would work for me; however, my foot is so narrow, when I secured the strap on the top of my foot, the velcro was partially on the fabric part of the strap. Not good. I would like to tell Zappos how much I appreciate their generous customer service. Since I am so hard to fit, I have to order many shoes and return many shoes. Thank you, Zappos!

I feel like I’ve purchased and returned every pair of sport sandals that Zappos sells. The search is over! I have a few pairs of Taos sneakers so I’m used to how their shoes feel. I initially stayed away from these because I wanted a waterproof sandal, and these are not. But they are very comfortable and most importantly, have great arch support. The straps have some versatility in the range of adjustment so there is definitely room to customize the fit. I also like the soft straps because I feel like they won’t chafe in the heat. Plus, they are very cute on! In the second photo I undid the straps so you can see how they adjust. The part that goes around the ankle can slide up or down to fit your instep.

I love these sandals! The footbed has a metatarsal support and great arch support, as well as good cushioning. The straps are also lined and soft. These were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them five hours the first day, walking a few miles. Normally I would never do that but they are really great for my troubled feet.

These are the most comfortable sandals I own. In fact I bought them last year and bought 2 more pairs this year. They are soft to walk on, but still offer great arch support.

I was excited to get this shoe. I wear a 7.5 normally or a 38. My other Taos shoes are a 7 but the 7’s seemed too short. I ordered both sizes and would have loved to have kept the 8! But as you can see in the picture my left pinkie toe sticks out, which drives me crazy. The strap on that side was sewn a little wider than the other side.

These are nice looking sandals that I really tried to make work but my wide feet rested right on the outside edge of the foot bed and wearing them caused pain on the bottom of my foot. I have other Taos sandals that I really like but these did not work for me.

I have a difficult foot to fit because I wear an 11AAA. Fortunately, the Taos shoes run on the narrow side so I can wear them. The length is just right and with the straps all the way hitched, they are narrow enough with comfort. I like how light weight they are even though they look a bit clunky, at least for my narrow foot. They are very comfortable to walk in. I have had no problems wearing them right away for 3 mile walks. I am delighted to have some good walking shoes!

I wanted to love these. They are cute, especially for an athletic sandal, and the fit and arch support were great. But I am very prone to get blisters from my shoes, and these just were not smooth and soft enough inside. I could tell right away that the toe straps would give me blisters. Otherwise I would have loved to keep them:(

The footbed is why you buy Taos - it's like walking on a cloud, and I have several styles. This sandal however has one major issue with the buckle that the strap is laced through irritating the foot. I know it is to allow for adjusting the size, but a bare foot would be blistered in short order. Otherwise sizing is true, and style is similar to Chaco's.

Returning these due to three things: With plantar fasciitis, the heel needs to be a bit elevated for my comfort. These shoes drop my heel lower rather than provide that bit of elevation. Also, as another reviewer commented, my little toe wants to escape out the side. I tried the size 9 and 10 (I wear a 9 to 9.5) and I needed the size 10 for length. Both sizes were a bit too narrow on the outer side of my instep with the shoe design having a ridge along the outer edge same problem another reviewer noted as well. Things to like: Adjustable across the toes, ankles, and across the top of the foot - really nice. Like the look of the shoe, nice lines; liked the navy better than the black but neither pair fit. Always grateful for Zappos's return policy.

Returned these: Size 9 was too short for my size 9 to 9.5 foot. Also, as one customer noted, the shoes are narrow along the side of the shoe - it's odd how that fits. That being said, the style is very appealing, the arch support felt good, and I'm ordering a size 10 hoping it will take care of those above problems.

These sandals are a great navy color. They are also made well and comfortable. They were comfortable for me from the day I took them out of the box. I highly recomment that you order these!!!

These are very comfortable, and it helps that they have the velcro so that they can be adjusted as needed. I have foot problems, so they are great for me and very comfortable to wear for a long period of time.

I love this shoe! It was comfortable from the moment I put it on and I have worn it everywhere, even hiking!. I ordered another pair just in case the style changes before these wear out!

Very comfy and few shoes are comfortable for my achey feet. Not bad looking for a comfy sandal. Love the foot bed. Wish they did a version of these with a toe strap and same foot bed.

At first I said Wow, but there is something wrong for my foot. Do size up, it works. I have the Ecco Offroad and it tends to fit my narrow foot better although this adjust to it fine. Why I am returning is something is off for my foot, the shoe is great so try it.

I finally found a pair of walking sandals that fit my long narrow,arthritic feet! Thank you Zappos for letting me return about 10 pair before I finally found some! These are supportive and do run narrow which is great for me and are a true size 11 not short like so many. I wore them all day right out of the box the first day. They are a little klunky but for a casual sandal they are fine.

These Taos sandals felt great straight out of the box (which somehow arrived the day after my order)!!! Lots of adjustable straps make them fit perfectly. The arch support is super duper. The Zen sandal is a great every day sandal, especially when that day includes lots of walking around and standing! Thanks, Zappos! Great service as always!

This is a very comfortable shoe. The contoured foot bed is very cushiony and the sole is firm but flexible. The design of the strap tightens over the toes and instep so you can make it fit the shape of your foot just right. Amazingly simple and attractive. These shoes fit great from day one, no break in period. I usually don't buy sandals with a pattern on them but it is fairly subtle. The blue ones look great with jeans and I just bought the black ice which are a bit dressier as the white pattern looks gray from a distance. This is my FAVORITE summer shoe!!!

This is a comfortable supportive sandal that would be great for walking or for a job where you had to stand for any length of time. Unlike other sandals, the toe part adjusts with a velcro strap, which allows for a perfect fit. I don't think I ever had a sandal that fit my foot so well. As far as looks, I doubt anyone is going to rave about your fashionable footwear, but who cares because your feet will feel good, and that beats compliments.

these sandals have the best sole, but somehow it feels like there's nothing up top. really great .

For women who like a supportive that feels safe and comfortable, but doesn’t look too clunky, this will work. It has a very high arch which, for me felt a little too hard but that’s, well, that’s my foot problem, not yours. Give ‘em a try!

I was so excited to get these. However, I normally wear a 7 1/2 or a 38 UK, but after reading reviews I ordered the 7 - it was too short and my toes went right to the edge. So I ordered the 8 and thought the shoe was very comfortable and really cute. Not too bulky! The right shoe fit perfect but my pinky toe on the left side poked out from the straps and I thought it would drive me nuts so sadly, I am returning both the 7 & 8.
