The V-Trail 2.0 has quite a change from the 1.0. There is stitching that goes on either side of your second toe. This is extremely uncomfortable. It creates extra material between the toes and it is ROUGH. I do not know if it would soften over time, but I don't think I could wear these once without getting sores on my feet. I cannot wear toe socks in these shoes because my toes feel very cramped (and I do not have big toes, I haven't found any fivefingers I can wear toe socks with though). No other Vibram I have tried has had this vertical seaming that extends from the shoe upper into the toes. The size felt appropriate. I am a 39 in V-Run, although I measure a 40 on the size chart. I bought these in the 39, but had to return them due to the stitching.

It’s hard to describe these. They are a tad too large, but it’s more the pain in the toes. Between the first 3 toes area is hard, making them quite uncomfortable. Not sure what is with their quality control, but I have too many issues in the last three years. Quite disappointing as they are/were my go to shoes for working out.

A tad too wide...when I walk the break cuts. Also the space between the second and third toe is hard, thus not comfortable. It would be nice if the sizing was more consistent. May try another size?

I definitely recommend these for hiking. I live in Virginia and a popular hike is Old Rag (9.4miles, 7.5hours, lots of rock scrambles). I completed this hike with zero blisters and they were brand new, I literally received them the day before the hike late in the afternoon. I normally wear a 40 in women's vibram five fingers, but after reading many reviews I went ahead and ordered a 41 in these and I'm glad I did, they are perfect.
I'd also recommend:

These are great for those who are doing some serious hiking in the woods, but they are a bit too substantial for my needs. I highly recommend them for those who are going off the beaten path.

These fit and look great, and I would have loved them, but the fabric between the toes is ridiculously stiff and painful, I couldn’t even walk in them because of it. Immediately returned!
