I ordered these because they had a rounder toe box, which they did. But when I put them on, it felt like I was standing on two ledges. I pulled out the insole, and saw that they had a wider insole placed over a very narrow sole. How silly! If they are made for people with narrow feet, say so and make the insole the same size as the sole. I returned them.

I've been happily hiking in the Keen Voyager for 12 years now but, on my last order, I was bummed to discover they've changed the fit. Gone is the deep heel and wide toe box. Have been desperately looking for a replacement hiker ever since. Learned about Oboz on a blog post (for women with wide feet and narrow heels) and then came to read the reviews here. I was certain this would be the right hiker! They arrived overnight which was awesome but... sadly, they do not have the wide toe box everyone's raving about. They did also feel a bit small overall so I'm going to try re-ordering a couple sizes up and keep my fingers crossed..

VERY narrow. First ordered a medium width (which is usual) and it was too snug all over. Thought for sure the wide would work, but no. It, too, was narrow. Odd. Husband had the same issue with the same shoe only in men’s.

I took a larger size than usual but this is one of the most comfortable low hikers I've ever worn. When, after many months of hard use, one foot felt a little arch pain, I ordered new inserts, and I've been using them since the replacement with great comfort.

Comfy, good for those who need a wide toe box. They were true to size for me; however, I don't do strenuous hiking and cannot speak to fit with more than one pair of medium socks or any kind of climbing.

I really wanted to keep these but they were just too narrow in the toe box even wearing thin socks. (Zappos comparison tool assured me the medium width compared with my previous Salomon's... they are not.) Love the Lilac color, it's muted, not garish and wouldn't show dirt. (I dislike the new trend of garish colors that look like clown shoes.) They looked good on, not bulky looking but the soles are robust and look like they will last. I just called Oboz directly and the Sawtooth II B-dry line has been discontinued but a new line called Sawtooth II X (?) will be rolled out possibly in April 2022. I'm going to wait and purchase in a wide width providing the shoes look close in style. Fingers crossed.

Love these shoes! They are my go to shoes. I have arthritis and need shoes with good support and these have that. They are great for hiking but I also wear them every day.

I usually wear a 9 but in a hiking shoe I wear either a 9 or 9-1/2 -- I got the 9-1/2 for this one and the fit is great. So is the arch support. Very comfortable shoe!

These may be the best walking shoes on the planet. Absolutely wonderful. Wear all day, day after day, with wool socks and you’ll have very happy feet. I wore them walking in the low alps in France, Switzerland and Italy. I hope to do it again, with this same pair of shoes. .

I love OBOZ. However, this Women's Wide is pinching on my right foot and I am unable to keep them. In the past, I have purchased the Men's shoe regular in the past when OBOZ was a new company and had not expanded to wide widths. Sorry to say this pair will be returned. I love the green color. Just wish these shoe companies would actually make a wider shoe for women.

This is my second pair of this style. I almost think I should get a third and hoard it away for the future. One tiny complaint is that the shoelaces are for some reason shorter than the earlier pair, and they are the tubular kind that come untied all the time. Not enough lace to double bow them. I am a fan of the snug fit in the heel and mid-foot, but lots of width in the toe box. You feel secure in the shoe yet roomy at the same time. More stable feel than Keens. I wore my first pair on concrete floors as work shoes and they were lifesavers. They are still going, but after 8 years of daily cool weather wear a fresh pair is nice.

I love these shoes! I usually wear a 9.5, but ordered the 10, for the extra room in the toe box. (I had tried the 9.5 on in a store, and could feel the edge of the shoe on the outside of my pinkie toe.) I also tried a pair of Merrills, which were very comfortable, but not nearly as supportive. I have not worn them outside yet, but each time I put them on inside, they feel more comfortable, as if they are conforming to my foot. The arch support is great, and my ankles feel very secure, since the shoes go over the ankle. I am very excited to go hiking in these shoes!

I need serious traction in a low hiking boot. I have ordered and returned so many hikers that I've lost track and frankly was losing hope too. I have a wide toe box with an incredibly narrow heel. I have discovered that I am limited to three manufacturers of outdoor shoes/boots that are guaranteed to fit right out of the box. Only under extremely exceptional circumstances do I believe in "breaking" in my shoes to conform to my feet. All that said - I bought all four colors of the Sawtooth II low B Dry. I wear a size 10 Med and found they're very true to my size. Some have complained about the laces becoming loose and I agree but I discovered a reverse tying method that keeps them secure. I did replace the inserts for a recommended orthotic for hiking which provided a tighter more secure fit in the heel.
I'd also recommend:
Brookes, Ryka (both for more casual sporting) - Merrell (Moab line)

My typical shoe size is a 7.5 but size 8 in running shoes, so I ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly. Oboz has inserts with arch support, which are excellent. The shoes hug my heel well yet the toe area provides sufficient room for cushioned hiking socks even on those long downhill treks. After trying several brands of hiking shoes, I have found these to be of high quality and the most comfortable. Also, you can’t go wrong with Zappos customer service; it is by far the best out there!

I love these for trail hiking. Great tractor tread soles. They fit my foot with a high arch like a glove.
