Camera bags are usually big and bulky and hella ugly but not this one! I love that it comes in fun, bright colours and doesn't look like a camera bag which is much appreciated, especially when travelling (for safety purposes!). The insert inside can be removed so you can a) use it as a regular bag and b) put the insert in another bag and make that one a camera bag! I know it says "mirrorless camera bag" but you can definitely fit a small, entry-level DSLR and a kit lens. Just to note that there isn't much room for anything other than camera + lens and a few accessories. The only thing I wish they added to the bag was a long key lanyard in the back pocket!

I bought this to take my camera (DSLR) To Iceland. It was perfect - my other camera bag is huge and this one I happily carried to all the photo-taking spots and it also fit my wallet and passport in the zipper pocket. Easy access when you are walking around seeing the sights, especially if you know you want one lens in particular (for me, wide angle for the landscapes). Kept my camera dry in the drizzle and under waterfalls!

Great little camera bag. I got the Golden color on sale and it's a nice change from our other black bags. It holds my mirrorless Fuji x-T20, an extra lens, battery charger and little notebook. I love it. Modern, stylish and simple. Another great Timbuk2 product!

This thing is perfect for my 35mm. There's space for my camera body with a lens, plus 2 other lenses. AND there's room for extra film. It's so easy to swing this thing in front of your body, do a quick lens switch and get your shot. Can't say enough good things about this bag.

I have only had this for a week and it is my new favorite bag ... gone, is my Lowe Pro which was bulking and not comfortable. My camera sling bag is the right size for my Sony a7iii and one lense, and a few other small things I often carry. The bag sits tight against my back and doesn't create the bulk that my Lowe did. Love it!

Works perfect for my Sony a6000 and fits camera plus a couple lenses! Love how I can use it as a bag itself or take out the insert and use it with a small backpack for travel!

Gave this camera bag to my mom for her Mother's Day gift. She loves it!! For her, having a bag that can be adjusted to fit whatever she's up for is perfect. The Velcro is strong for the camera separating compartments and also well quilted. Zipper works smoothly and the strap is easy to adjust. Lightweight and durable too! (I need to get one for myself)

As someone who has used a messenger bag for years, i can appreciate how comfortable and lightweight this bag is and the addition of the removable camera insert is a welcome feature for those of us that like to carry a small DSLR/Mirrorless camera for quick still shots around the city and when traveling. The only thing that i would like to see added onto the bag is a zipper on the backside that would allow access into the insert for quick shots. Great bag overall

I love this Camera bag! It comes with a padded crossbody strap that is adjustable. The dividers are great! I can organize my camera and lens to however I want them to be. It is heavily padded, so I don't need to worry about them. You will regret if you don't have this Camera bag!

I bought this bag so I could keep my camera and minimal essentials closeit's kind of replacing my fanny pack. Typical of Timbuk2, the materials and sewing are greatexcellent zipper. Only issue: could be a little wider. It's tight with the included dividers protecting my a7iii and two small primes. But, I get it. It's a give and take with any camera bag.

The overall size and looks of this bag are great and I really appreciate the fact that it doesn't look like a camera bag. Having a removable padded liner is also a really nice feature, just in case I need to throw my camera in a suitcase or other large bag. The size is perfect for my Sony a6100 with a large zoom lens on it. A few things would have made this great. First, a more substantial shoulder strap. Second, a more squared off shape as the pointy ends are not usable. Last, a few pockets for small items.

I've been looking for a mid-size camera bag that wears well. This bag is exactly what I needed! It's the perfect size and can fit my a7, a 55mm lens, and my 14mm Rokinon wide angle lens. It wears really well, even with the weight. I like that it sits high on my back and is easy to swing to the front. The design also keeps pressure off my shoulders, which is great when wearing it all day.

I use the Camera Sling Bag for daily or weekend get-a-way trips when I don't need to bring all my equipment. I put my camera body, a couple of lenses, and a spare battery in the bag and set off on my day. I know the Timbuk2 description says this is designed for a mirrorless camera but I am carrying around a DSLR and it works fine. I also like the zippered pocket to put a notebook and some money in for being out and about. Like another reviewer I wish that the pocket also had a lanyard for keys.

I have a large Nikon P1000. HUGE body. I bought a Nikon case, and it's a bear to get the camera in. I have another one & it is OK. The Timbuk2 sling works the best. Liner to keep water off the camera. Main thing - it's fairly quick to remove / insert the camera. It provides good protection for bumps & water. It has a pocket large enough for a lens brush, 2d battery & extra cards. What else is it supposed to do?

I really like the concept and size but don't 'get' the inner, drawstring 'bag'. It took up too much room and didn't leave enough room for accessories. Without the inner 'bag' it would work but the outer didn't provide much protection. I need more space than this provided. I returned it.

Very disappointed with the camera sling bag, After owning many Timbuk2 bags of the highest quality materials and workmanship, this one does not hold up. Material is thin, carrying strap flimsy and camera insert appears to be an afterthought as it does not fit well inside and is not secured to the bottom of the bag. Despite having velcro strips on the bottom of the insert there are no opposing strips inside the bag allowing it to slide around in the bag and fall out if the bag is on its side or turned over. I would not recommend this and if it was not a final sale I would have immediately returned it. Come on Timbuk2 you can do better!

This is actually two bags- an insert and a sling bag. Both the insert and bag are shaped in a pointed oval, but the insert is considerably shorter (internal width) than the sling bag's compartment for the shroud. This shape is a difficult one to work with when trying to store a camera in the bag. It just plain wastes space. The sling bag's opening is an elongated "D", which also leaves space between the end of the insert and the end of the sling bag itself- could be added storage, but the insert blocks you from getting to it. The insert has an extra cover/closure with a cinch chord to...protect from the rain? What it accomplishes that the zippered opening does not is beyond me- aside from making it difficult to get in and out of the padded insert. I removed the insert and tucked the cinch cover down the sides so that at least it wasn't getting in the way of me getting a camera in/out of the bag. I still found it difficult to get a camera in/out of the bag. Sadly, this was a final sale item. I'll probably just remove the insert and use it as a normal bag.

Soooo....should have known better than to purchase anything on "final" sale, I.e. no returns. I have a mirror less system and what doesn't fit in this is everything. If you want your camera body and 1 small M4/3 lensgreat. Anything more and your out of luck....no batteries, etc fit.

I was excited to get this bag and paid for 2 day delivery so I could use it on a hike I was about to undertake. I got it believing the dimensions, that show an 18"x5" (outside dimensions) pocket at the bottom and depth would be perfect to hold my 13" tripod and 11" Anafi drone - with room left over for the controller and a tripod adapter that I use. I was looking for something fast and light and this looked perfect for the application. Reality bites! The bag came and when I measured the bottom of the case it is only 11". Baffling, the padded insert is only 8.5" on the outside. Not even close. This might be a good bag, but I can't tell as nothing that I wanted to use will fit in it. It looks like this bag has been out for a year or more so perhaps someone in marketing could correct the drawing on the product page.

I'm a long time Timbuk2 fan and was excited when I saw they had a new camera bag, the Camera Sling Bag. It was spec'ed at 7L so I figured it would be plenty large enough for my kit. Five days later the Camera Sling Bag was on my doorstep. My first impression was what a great looking bag: wonderful exterior fabric, super lightweight and a very non-camera bag looking design. As I played with it, cracks began to appear in my perfect little Timbuk2 world: the strap was silly thin and bit into my shoulder like a hungry dog with my kit in the bag. Plus, the strap was not nearly as fast or easy to adjust like my old Timbuk2 Informant and Snoop Camera Messenger bags. Hmm, how could Timbuk2 leave off one of their greatest innovations? The real head scratcher was the tiny camera insert. It's really like an afterthought: as if they designed a nice sling bag and some random guy decided to make it into a camera bag by sticking in an ill fitting insert they found laying around. The outer bag may be 7L but the insert holds a lot less. Way less. The insert could have easily been made two or three inches longer and a little wider. I have a smaller 5L Sling from another unmentionable San Francisco company and it holds a heck of a lot moredoublethan the Timbuk2 Camera Sling Bag. The final speed bump was there was no way to secure the insert to the bag: the insert often fell out when I pulled my camera out. If you forgot to zip the bag and leaned over all your goodies would hit the deck! Oddly, the insert had velcro on the bottom but the bag lacked the matching velcro to mate to. Obviously a defect but the reason I retuned the back to Timbuk2. They made me cover shipping for their mistake and lack of QC. So I'll stick to my 5 year old Timbuk2 Informant. The Informant is a great bag and I wish Timbuk2 would have kept the thoughtful Informant interior design and simply updated the fabric and external cosmetics.
