These shoes are wide all the way around, even in the heel area. My feet are wide at the toe end with normal sized heel area. This design makes them feel loose in the heel. This is not a major factor in the average review, however. The thing I DON"T like about these shoes is the padding/footbed just below the ball of the foot. It seems to be non existent. I mostly bought these to run (a little), trail hike on easy trails and simply wear around the house. They are great for wearing around the house, but for nothing active. My feet hurt with any type of serious activity. So, these will become my everyday, low activity shoes. I purchased these shoes due to a friend telling me that I would love the brand and they (the shoes) were so comfortable.

The islet broke the first time I put them on, therefor they are useless to me.

I walk 3 miles daily and have worn Skechers exclusively for 8 years. These sneakers are poor for daily walkers, especially in hilly roads. My feet slide inside the sneakers walking downhill, causing burning. After 6 days trying new socks and tying the laces as tight as possible, I'm wearing my old Skechers until a replacement arrives. Also, the tread wears prematurely.

Never but sketchers again
