There is a secret to these shoes. The decorations slide up the strap so you can adjust the ankle circumference. I initially put them right back in the box because the strap was so loose and appeared to have no way to tighten. Then I remembered a different brand featuring this kind of adjustment and now they are perfect.

I’m an Alegria sandal addict and was happy to see a more delicate, strappy version for a change of pace. I tried them on and loved the color, style and footbed comfort but, like many other reviewers, thought they were a tad loose and therefore unstable while walking around. Then I read the review by “Anonymous” about how to tighten the straps. Did so and lo and behold — perfect fit. So happy with them I bought 3 additional colors. Alegria and/or Zappos should put instructions about tightening the straps in the product description and on a hangtag directly on the straps — there will be far fewer returns of these great-looking sandals.

I bought these in a size 38, my usual size, including Allegria, and my feet were swimming in them - straps were loose and they were just plain too large. Exchanged for a 37, and they're perfect - I LOVE them; they're very comfortable and easy to walk in. I would buy another pair in a heartbeat if only they were offered in a true beige/tan, i.e., not with black soles.

This shoe was cute, but very wide. My size 9 foot is very much a medium width in all my shoes, but in this shoe my foot was slipping around like crazy because I think it is very wide for a "Medium Width".

Love the style of this shoe! The braided multicolor strap with the metal decoration is really cute and feels like you can easily wear this as a summer dressy shoe, but still walk in comfort with good arch support. I think the tread on the bottom does make it feel slightly sportier and chunkier than I'd prefer, but the top is so cute I'm willing to overlook it. :)

Yes they are too big but the straps across the foot are adjustable. love them

Footbed good, but straps were too loose and the the metal decoration was very stiff and painful.

Absolutely loved these. Fit was true to size. They look great! At first I worried they were too big, but I learned from the other reviews - just use the jewels on the strap to adjust and tighten. Perfect! I can walk for hours in these. And I just ordered a pair for my BFF.

Size 38 (my usual) ran large - returned & reordered a 37 - am hopeful!

I was glad I read the review that recommended ordering them a size smaller. I ordered a size 6 instead of my normal 7; and they are a perfect fit!! They are so very comfortable, and are both casual and dressy.

These are the absolute cutest sandals I have ever tried on (I need supportive sandals, and nothing between the toes). The colors are beautiful, and the style is perfect. The support is exactly what I was looking for. HOWEVER, there is no way to adjust the straps on top or behind the heel. I ordered my normal size and found the straps far too loose. I loved the look so much, that I ordered a full size down, praying that the straps would fit better. I got the next size down and although the foot bed was very workable, the straps again were WAY too loose. My foot flopped around and in and out of the sandal as I walked. I seriously wish they would update this sandal with a velcro heel adjustment or something. Several reviews have mentioned this. I guess I should have listened, but wanted them so bad I had to try. Now, seriously bummed. If you can get these to fit, you are lucky (and I am jealous!) Once the elastic heel fits, I hope it doesnt stretch out at all for you. I contemplated having a shoemaker look at it to see if he/she could help me, but that seemed like too much effort during COVID. Back they go...

Cute sandals but unfortunately fit is large and wide. I'm usually size 5 in sandals and bought it in 35 which translates into size 5-5.5. It's way to big for size 5, more like 5.5-6. They felt like they'll be comfortable when I tried them on but I returned them right away because of the size.

Very disappointed since I liked the style a lot. You can adjust the strap fit by easily moving the metal clasp up and down. The style is flattering. BUT the shoe squeaks when walking on wood or tile floors - and fairly loudly. I bought it especially for a trip to Vienna to go to a lot of museums where I definitely don't want to be squeaking my way along the galleries. So they have to go back.

Extremely comfortable. I don’t like the rectangle metal trinket on the end of the shoe so I removed it and it looks more modern without it. Will order in other colors because of the comfort and style!

For some reason I was surprised at how strappy they were when I put them on. Not sure why--the look wasn't exactly what I expected. But they look great and are very comfortable. These have become my default open-toed sandals!

Remarkably these fit exactly the same as every other pair of Alegria shoes that I own! Once you find your size you're set. I love my sandals, and closed shoes. Especially the "rain clogs". Every pair molds perfectly to my foot.

I didn’t know if I should have ordered a half size smaller, but, the sandal actually adjusts and they fit very well. Exactly the color I wanted and they feel great. I have plantar fasciitis and need good heel support. Total win ?

If it weren't for my need for rigid soles, I would have kept these. Great arch support, adjustable, and feminine (for orthopedic sandals). But I need more of a typical Alegria rocker bottom, so back these go. For reference, I'm a 7.5 in sandals and I ordered the 37s. Almost too short but passable. 38s would have been too big.
